Drew a Penalty Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 Kaliyev all over the map here. Hockey Prospect had him at 35 in February. I imagine he ends up a little higher on their ranking by the end of the season, but Mark Edwards and co haven't been fans. No way he isn't a first rounder.

Kevin Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 First try Rangers dropped down 3 spots to the 10th pick  I had the reverse. Up 6 spots to #1! Not touching it ever again!
LindG1000 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I have this feeling that if the Rangers don't win the lottery, they're going to end up with Podkolzin. Seriously doubt that any team between us and the lottery has the clout to bring him over and feel fully confident in that (aside from maybe the Wings?)
Albatrosss Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I had the reverse. Up 6 spots to #1! Not touching it ever again! i got Edmonton winning the #1. if that happens, I'll quit watching hockey

BrooksBurner Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 3 times: 8th 7th 1st A few more times got me mostly 7th-9ths and also a 3 mixed in there.
Rosenvold Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 Really disappointing if this dump of a season only results in another 9th overall pick. We need some luck here.
Gravesy Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 Really disappointing if this dump of a season only results in another 9th overall pick. We need some luck here. That, and we also need Buffalo to have a word with themselves and sort their shit out. Absolutely pathetic.
Drew a Penalty Posted April 6, 2019 Author Posted April 6, 2019 https://www.tsn.ca/hughes-kakko-in-tight-race-for-top-spot-1.1284470 McKenzie's top 15 before the lottery.
Stephen Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Overall, Hughes and Kakko are the ones projected to go no.1 and no. 2 in the draft.
ThirtyONE Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 I'm starting to think Kakko is going to go first. Size and skill would make him my pick if the Rangers were going #1 and I were magically hired to be GM. Obviously, either he or Hughes would be a great get.

Size and skill would make him my pick if the Rangers were going #1 and I were magically hired to be GM. Obviously, either he or Hughes would be a great get. That was what I was trying to get at in the other thread. Not that Kakko was tough, but that his style is more fast freight train while Hughes is more precision handling Maserati. Thought the former would suit Quinn better, but we would obviously be desperately grateful for either. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Gravesy Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 I'm starting to think Kakko is going to go first. Size and skill would make him my pick if the Rangers were going #1 and I were magically hired to be GM. Obviously, either he or Hughes would be a great get. These things often have to do with momentum as well. Hughes started the season as the undisputed, Dahlin-style clear number one. Now they're neck and neck. Certainly, if Kakko has a strong showing in grown-up worlds I could see him go first. I'm actually warming to the idea that the 2nd pick is the best one in this draft. Have someone make the decision for you. Pick 2 will be a no-brainer either way.
