LeetchFan
This is a BIG game for the Rangers. Division rival, got spanked by them last week, rival for points in the standings, etc. Not only have we been losing games to the Fish Sticks, but we've been letting them score tons of goals and also to guys who shouldn't be scoring (i.e., not John Tavares before this year). Sent from my Z981 using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk You're surprised by this? He plays a relatively sheltered role as an offensive defenseman. They usually have pretty good plus-minus numbers.

They usually have pretty good plus-minus numbers. I dont remember where I read it, but someone said somewhere that ADA have gotten a suprisingly high number of D-zone starts this year and that it was part of Quinn's plan to better his D-zone play. No idea if it was bs, but can someone maybe chech it out? EDIT: I found it myself. Last year he had a 33.5% D-zone starts, so far this season he has 51.6% D-zone starts. Yeah, which is an increase, for sure, but zone starts don't translate heavily to a difference on the scoring sheet unless they're at the extremes (think Ryan Spooner). In other words, a guy who plays with, say, a 55% dZS who drops to 45% the season after is going to see very little difference in the stats columns for it. It was more an answer to the "sheltered role as an offensive defenseman". He still play more PP than PK etc., but his role is not nearly as sheltered as it was with AV last season, and to see his D-zone starts increase while he has the highest +/- on the team is a positive sign. Speaking of - how do you think the lines will look with a healthy team? Strome - lias - fast 4th line? Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk I would go Strome - Lias - Buch, personnally, as Fast was really good with Vesey and Howden. The big thing is that they need to get Lias (see also: everyone) away from McLeod. The guy is an absolute anchor.

josh
Are you kidding me Skjei is a world class skater?. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk He’s a good skater for his size. He just doesn’t know when to skate, and how to effectively use his speed in this system. AV, you could just go, anytime, and he usually had Klein or Smith on the back end covering. Doesn’t have that luxury now, and he needs to pick and choose when to join the rush. He has good size, good speed, and has the skills to start the transition. Hopefully the benching, and coaching from Quinn can get his game where we need it
