NYR2711 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Im mostly a back seeper, sometimes I lay on my side, but I always wind up sleeping on my arm, and it goes dead on me and wakes me up. I am the worst when trying to fall asleep, it takes me forever to fall asleep at night.
Fuhgeddaboudit Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 I've always been a stomach guy, but last night... I slept on my back and I felt better in the morning. Is that odd? Maybe it's my imagination... People say sleeping on your stomach gives you back problems, so I want to avoid that since my back has been awful lately.
Morphinity 2.0 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I fall asleep on my stomach, but once I'm asleep, it's a craps shoot.
Chris Drewry Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Always sleep on my left side. Anything else just feels weird.

Phil Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I toss and turn all night. I tend to fall asleep on my stomach, but I regularly wake up to shift to either side, and I actually sleep like a corpse sometimes (on my back, legs straight, arms folded across my chest, which freaks my wife out. She said she usually wakes me up when I do that intentionally, because it's creepy.

Especially if you've had a long day working at a computer.

Especially if you've had a long day working at a computer. Same. When I take naps on my couch, I'm usually in a recliner, and that's exactly how I fall asleep. She hates it. She's taken a couple photos of me doing it that I'll try to get her to send me so I can post them. I don't see the big deal, but apparently she thinks it's morbid. Whatever.
josh Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I guess I've really become a "free for all" sleeper. Always slept on my stomach growing up, but changed to side. Now, can't sleep on left shoulder, dont like sleeping on right hip, so I flop around until I pass out. Rarely ever use back.
CreaseCrusader91 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Usually on my side, but I switch to my stomach when I get kinda tired, and sometimes I just sprawl out until I find the right spot.
Rizz GAWD Lav No Cap FrFr Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I get into a hybrid stomach/side position 60 or 70% of the time, otherwise I'm on my back. It's a crap shoot where I wake up though. I noticed when I get hot in any way at night I'll wake up in a ninja pose if it gets bad enough. Heat is my worst sleeping enemy.
H-Dreamer Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I fall asleep on my back 99% of the time, after that it's free for all or so I'm told. I seem to be moving a lot during the night.
High and Wide Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Stomach. I have tried to fall asleep on my back, it is impossible. I always wake up on my stomach. I don't have any back problems either.
torontonyr Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Side ...right to be specific. 100 % of the time. The weird part is I require my left arm going up and bent on top of my ear ( looks like I'm trying to scratch my back)
Bluephoria Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I sleep standing up... like a horse. Otherwise my shlong gets crushed.
Tonybologna Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 When I need to go to sleep for something early I usually go on my back. But if I have nothing to do the next day and I stay up late I sleep on my stomach more. It's almost like business sleep vs. leisure sleep. It's tough to explain, but sleeping on my stomach/side feels more fun and just my position of choice when I'm "enjoying" sleeping rather than doing it because I have to. This must be extremely weird.
