Fuhgeddaboudit
Is seeing a movie alone a lame thing to do?
Morphinity 2.0
It's not an easy book to translate into a movie. There's a lot of shit going on that would be difficult to convey, and somewhat unentertaining. I just hope it's not too video-gamey, like Halo or some shit. Dave
Saw Ender's Game this morning. Good and bad. They cut a lot of stuff with his family and rushed through a lot with his training, but they still managed to capture a lot of the key elements that made the book powerful. Purists might be disappointed, what caught me most was that what they did was done well, creating the problem that if they cut less to really mirror the book more, you're left with a 3 1/2 to 4 hour movie. I would have liked to see that movie, though. Three out of five stars maybe.
Rizz GAWD Lav No Cap FrFr
I kind of feel like they should have gone the hobbit route and released two movies, but either way I really want to see it.
Dave
I kind of feel like they should have gone the hobbit route and released two movies, but either way I really want to see it. The problem I could see with that is that there is no where I can think to break it off in the middle where the first movie wouldn't seem boring. The story leads to a high point just before the end. Pete
I was really disappointed. I feel like you had to read the book to have a clue what was going on, but if you read the book, the movie just didn't satisfy it.
Morphinity 2.0
:( Oh no, Pete. I had high hopes for you liking it.
Pete
I was super disappointed. I knew it couldn't live up to the book, but this was really bad.
Morphinity 2.0
Damn. Like I said, I thought it was okay, but I had similar feelings. I wanted to avoid panning it to you yesterday, but they ignored some pretty important stuff from the book and the ending was rather awful.
Pete
Totally felt the same way. Sigh.

Patrick Bateman
I think movies that have to rely on child actors will always have a tough time living up to expectations, especially when their role is something similar to this.
