There's Gallant on the bench writing out his grocery list for the morning.

I mean it's the season opener against the Caps and Tom Wilson and everyone was expecting fireworks. How do you come out this uninspired and useless? It takes a special kind.

Well I've thought Gallant was a bad coach long before he was coaching here. There are plenty of games showing that beyond this 40 minutes. What is happening on the ice tonight is simply a perfect example of what his flaws have always been. Even I'm shocked that it's happening right off the bat though.

Playing Georgie and Tinordi tonight was really a master stroke as well. We're in great hands. Who needs Kravtsov, we have plenty of offense. Look at all the goals.

Oh and they look so organized out there. It's really clear who they are as a team. Gallant has done a great job with them in camp.

Yeah they look great out there. He's doing great. Really has them raring to go for his first game coaching the NY Rangers. They're really giving a great effort for him. He must be a really inspiring guy.

Well Gallant is a terrible coach who has no system and does nothing. I've said that from day one. He doesn't tell them what to do, he just claps his hands and yells stuff.

So we wanted to get harder to play against but none of the hard to play against guys are actually good enough to play with our good players. So now our top 6 is still pillow soft and disappearing against a physical team and our bottom 6 can barely play the sport.

Can't say I'm surprised at all. Pretty much as expected after hiring an idiot coach and bringing in a bunch of plugs who can barely play with the puck.

How can anybody say Kravtsov is wrong when dressing Tinordi was roster decision that was made by this staff? At least fight somebody because you sure can't play.

I don't think they can actually trade him. Lias was one thing because he wasn't any good, but Krav is too talented to get adequate value for. Drury is gonna have to swallow his pride on this one or put his pride before the team.

Who says there was a trade request before today? I've seen that he expected to be traded in the offseason, but not that he requested it.

He was on the 3rd line all camp with Chytil and Goodrow. He looked thrilled when he scored last game. He didn't ask out until they told him he was cut.

He wasn't quitting hockey or sitting out if he was playing 3rd line with Chytil every night in a Rangers jersey.

I found his play to be extremely impressive at the end of last season. I couldn't believe how defensively responsible he was along with the offensive flashes. He is probably right about deserving more minutes up in the lineup and he certainly did enough to earn a spot this season. I love Hunt and Gauthier and have made that clear, but you don't dismiss Kravtsov for them. You keep all three, give Krav his spot and rotate Rooney and Reaves to get the other two in if you wish. This wasn't rocket science, but now we've torched it all. Even if you wanted to continue to seek a trade you could have done so on the low. This was mismanagement no matter how you look at it.

He's totally right to do this. If he's in the AHL then he's still a prospect right? But this is the same Kravtsov that the Rangers made an open statement about saying that he wasn't participating in the prospect tournament last month because they said he was beyond that stage. Now this. If this was a possibility he should have been in the tournament and they shouldn't have said that. No wonder he is confused and fed up.
