The thing I thought about Carol was that when Rick and Glenn lathered up in zombie guts in season one, it didn't work. I was surprised they brought that back. But man was she badass. I think she's gone through one of the biggest character transformations.
So... did anyone catch the premiere last night? It was very intense. I thought the action was great and I loved the intensity from Carol and Tyrese. I jumped out of my chair with the Morgan tease at the end. However, I honestly didn't expect Terminus to last only two episodes. And then there's this.

I was expecting someone major to die last night. I didn't want it, but it felt right. As the article states, it is incredibly difficult to believe that all of the characters (except Beth) are safe and sound. With that said, it is entirely possible that we are surprised by a death in the next few episodes, because presumably they will be on the search for shelter for a period of time. I still love the show. I love the characters. But if it prolongs and enhances the story, kill a character.
I actually really enjoyed last night's episode. I thought it was authentic to warfare, which is what GRRM has always tried to do with the ASOIAF story. It was messy, it was long, it was hard to follow at times, but you were in the middle of the battle.
I thought it was fantastic, the whole episode. The Jorah betrayal, Mole's town, Moat Cailin/Ramsay's elevation, the Vale council, and of course the Mountain vs. The Viper, were all done fantastically. Also, Missandei.
I'm not big on watching episodes twice if I don't have to. I watch too many shows to have that kind of time. That's another factor in not watching with friends. As long as I'm not distracted, I typically pick up on everything.
Same. I watched it with my friends last season and I've decided against this season. I have an excuse, but they would just ask too many damn questions since I read the books.
Great premiere. Agreed about Hound/Arya and Oberyn. Great moments there. I loved Jon's quip at Janos Slynt. I liked that they didn't try and jam everyone in this episode as well.
