  2. I think it was their best finale yet. I enjoyed every minute of it. My heart was pounding the whole time.
  3. I saw on Twitter that this episode was basically an homage to Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men.
  4. There was like this yellow blanket sack looking thing. I took it to be Judith. Unless Judith was bundled in front of Tyrese.
  5. On Carol's back, I thought the same thing.
  6. I know. I just don't think that they are doing this completely for that purpose though. There probably is a reason for this plot-wise.
  7. Holy. Fuckin'. Shit. I honestly didn't see that coming. I thought maybe she'd try and turn herself, but wow. That is some messed up shit.
  8. But... it also seems to be the way they are going with the story. Its not all about money, Mr. Bateman.
  9. I feel like they are saying, "Rick is not the leader anymore" by doing this.
  10. Ok, I will say this much — These girls are cringeworthy. I miss Rick and Carl.
  11. This. They were showing what happened to Bob before he joined the group. Glenn and Daryl already interacted with Bob, most notably on the run they made when Bob took the alcohol.
  12. Ah, OK. That makes sense. He definitely is warming up to the group, or what remains.
  13. I was kind of surprised they didn't really reveal anything about Bob. They featured him in the opening, just showing the lead-up to when Daryl and Glenn find him. But we already knew that. Unless, he isn't who he is saying he is. There was almost a hesitation when he said his name to them.
  14. I took House for what it was — A medical procedural that solved its plot by the end of an episode. Sure there were some arcs and extended plots, but I understood that was the theme of the show. I hated the med students, both sets. That's what turned me off, as stupid as it may seem. They were annoying, stupid, whiney, and predictable. I think Cameron, Chase, and Foreman were much better.
  15. For me to hate a show, they would have to drastically change its fundamentals; flow, characters, theme, etc. Walking Dead has always been this way - slow at times to allow character development. You can't fast forward that IMO. Factor in that their daily lives and habits are as crucial to the story as the major events that have and continue to happen. The only show that I fell out with, that I was genuinely interested in, was House. It just progressed after a while in a different way.
  16. We've never had any insight into Daryl. It was always what we projected onto him. Did we need a whole episode to get that out of him? No. But I think it was necessary for him as a character. In all reality, if they are to reunite as a group, it wasn't going to happen over a few episodes, so what we were going to see is survival like this. I wasn't too big on the episode, but I still think it served a purpose to the show.
  17. I agree with the bolded. Technical aspects of the show can be compared. I disagree though that its become show about zombies. At times, zombies will be the group's main focus — especially now that they are swarming and the group is divided — but the show has done a good job of balancing zombies with the other aspects of survival. As far as Carol goes, it was really the only way to bring her back. Rick informed the rest of the group of his decision before the fallout at the prison. http://www.wetpaint.com/walking-dead/articles/2013-12-05-season-4-when-carol-coming-back It was really the only way her return could make sense. Her story was logical; she returned to the prison in its aftermath and followed them from afar. Michonne tracked Rick and Carl, Daryl and Beth attempted to track some of the others as well.
  18. I disagree. I think they would repeat the scenarios. Every group that has been encountered in the show has primarily prioritized the survival of its own group. The interpretation of that could be different, however. For example, the survival of Rick's group was predicated on trust, and allowing new members into the group. The Governor perceived outsiders(for the most part) to be a threat, and acted accordingly. Just from the 15 seconds we saw of this new character, I'd assume he is going to accept people who are of use to him, and leave behind those who cannot survive.
  19. As annoying as the show has been at times, it has been incredibly entertaining over its 4 year run. I think its great television, that almost always leaves me wanting the next episode. I agree with Phil in the sense that the only season that was lacking, was season 2 on the farm. But still it was necessary to demonstrate the idea that they can never be comfortable. I love that dynamic; the transition from survival, to false security, to internal and external threats, to survival. The show has been careful enough to kill off characters at key times, instead of sending out shockers that would ultimately disenfranchise viewers. I don't like comparing shows. Good shows shouldn't be compared. I don't like putting The Wire, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, etc. in the same sentence. What makes a show good shouldn't be measured by comparing it to another great show. It should be what its done differently. The Walking Dead is different.
  20. So this episode covered everyone else. Pretty slow, but I'm glad they introduced both the new "safe haven" and the new characters.
  21. I think if it was an honest mistake, they would have ordered drinks. The fact that they didn't tells me it was an act.
  22. I'd agree if it had been someone closer to Michonne. The interaction between the two had really been limited to their captivity. I thought the dream sequence after was much better serving.
  23. I agree with this. I thought it was somewhat gimmicky, like it was put there so they could add a hashtag and talk about it on Talking Dead.
