How is the fashion scene in Denver?

Anything is possible with the Rangers. If they can put a guy like Eddie Giacomin on waivers, they can trade Lundqvist. Stranger things have happened, but I'm still not expecting it.

They could definitely be competitive next year for sure. But the season after with Henrik's money off the book's, Staal's, and Shattenkirk's $6 million-plus cap hit gone, they can really make some moves. Hopefully Brendan Smith will be gone too. So, while I wouldn't rule out next season for taking another step, that extra flexibility is just crucial at really re-loading and bringing in some more talent. They just have to manage the dead weight for another season.

That's good. Original Six brotherhood! Although, it might not be like that in all the other cities towards the Rangers and their fans, especially Boston. lol

The death knell last season seemed to be trading Zucc. That move seemed to have the most negative affect, especially on Hank. You could really see the team totally lost even without playing a game. This year there isn't that or a McDonagh in year's past, etc. Not that trading Kreider and more wouldn't do the same to this year's team, though. It's a tough call. Maybe they keep Kreider, but that probably means losing DeAngelo, Fast, etc.

I think even if they don't make the playoffs, playing all these meaningful games down the stretch is really going to help them anyway. I know they've had some stinkers, taken some periods "off", but overall this team has a lot of heart and fortitude. I can see it.

My worry is that they're going to trade him and he's going to wind up playing like he has been this year all the time now. lol If he re-signs here long term, then he'd probably go back to being inconsistent Kreider. haha That is my biggest fear. Is he coming into his own finally at age 28 and playing with Mika, or is this 100% contract year motivation?

I appreciate Henrik's loyalty, but he would've been so much better just accepting a trade a couple of years ago. I mean, he still might now, who knows. But, he would have helped himself and the team out big time if he did. That would have been more appreciated. lol

How were the Blackhawks fans to you guys, and to the Rangers there in general?

In some ways these are kind of playoff games and a good experience for Shesterkin and the like to have. Whether they get in or not, I think they benefit from this either way. Shesterkin has come in totally unfazed and un-rattled when it's basically crunch time here. An actually postseason berth would be great, but again, going through this is still a very good experience.

Obviously I'm sure he's not thrilled about it, but he's been a trooper throughout this whole thing. He hasn't bitched to the media or anything like that. He's been a total pro, even though I'm sure it's eating at him.

I like Gauthier's game. Good speed and made some things happen. This might have been the first time all season where the Rangers rolled four lines that I actually liked.
