Yep. And as much as rival fans want to act like he’s a plug who can’t play, they clearly don’t have fully functioning eyeballs. He isn’t terrible. He is always in on the forecheck. He has reach. He’s not stupid when the puck is on his stick. He keeps it simple. He’s not what they think he is. I’m not saying he’s the Second Coming. But for a guy his size and in his role, he’s not overmatched up here.
And spot on with the first part too. Valiquette actually said it perfectly last night. This team can beat you on the ice or in an alley in a street fight. And they don’t get rattled. They know the job, they know the mission. Just a different feel. This is a game by game thing, and this team doesn’t like losing games.
It seems like a lot of average hockey fans just don't know what they're talking about and just can't observe and think for themselves. They're all just reactionary, and believe what the NHL talking heads say as gospel. It's pretty sad.

I think the only way it goes down is if it’s a blowout and they just force the issue or start taking runs at our guys.
But I also see the Rangers just letting them try and get under their skin, smiling, taking the PP’s and really making them pay.
Either way, this team can beat you no matter what. As much as Rempe likes to drop them, he also knows just when to do enough to be annoying. I think it's something he'll only get better at too. It's such a big difference when he's in the lineup. Not only does he make opponents shy away from some of our guys, but he also injects the team with bigger balls, it seems.

I can't wait to see him get his ass kicked one day!
'One day' could very well be on Friday. I'm kind of expecting shit to go down in Washington.

And came flying, I mean literally flying, in to Panarins aid after he took Oshie's head off. Magnifique.
The chemistry and camaraderie with these guys is unreal. The best I've seen it in a very long time.

Yeah, this injury could cost them the season. Nashville is a pretty damn good team for a seventh seed. I think they may be a bit better than their record may indicate. They almost always find a way to be competitive as a franchise.
-
Definitely the Rangers toughest opponent. They were one of the most difficult matches up for them this season, maybe the toughest. I like our team a lot, but Florida is just loaded.
-
Big rebound game. My disdain for him makes rooting for Colorado difficult, as much as I like that team. It doesn't sway me that much, though. I'm still rooting for the Avs. I still think it can easily go seven, but we'll see. The promising sign for them is that they're scoring a lot against Hellebuyck.

Panthers have won eleven straight playoff overtime games? Whoa.

Tampa Bay is still very good, but the Panthers are on another level. Mostly dominated and deserved to win.

Much needed win. Step on their throat. Best game they can play was tonight. Shame that the NHL lets clowns officiate because this got so out of hand and stupid. Great job by the Rangers. Horrible job by the NHL by letting sideshow circuses like McCauley have this much impact on a playoff game.
It almost feels like a double win getting a victory in a game in which those two officiated.

I love watching these two teams play each other.

Dang. That series just got more interesting.

Rempe averaged a hit per minute tonight. Seven hits in seven minutes of ice time. lol

This team CAN beat anyone. They just have to play like it. And they do when they want to. Rest up BSBH. We’re in for a fun ride.
I will rest once my blood pressure goes down.

Now that this game is over, I'd like to make a wish for Kenny Albert or Bob Wischusen calling game 3. I can't stand another game with turtle boy and Ferraro!
Pretty sure Albert is scheduled for game three.

Too close for comfort, but they took the best the Capitals had these two games and came out on top
