  1. Nice article from Larry praising Mika. This stat is pretty amazing: "During the regular season, the Zibanejad-Kreider PK unit was on for 118:31 in which the Rangers scored six shorthanded goals while allowing eight power-play goals against. Astonishing." https://nypost.com/2024/04/24/sports/rangers-getting-very-best-of-mika-zibanejad-in-playoffs/
  2. That was a Dumb move by Kreider. Yanking the stick of the other guy made the refs very aware of his BS.
  3. Islanders score......and I cheered (because I want this series to go 7 games). I think I threw up a little bit.
  4. We have had so many opportunities.......Bread hitting the post......its killing me. I'm beginning to think its just not our night.
  5. Columbus is Ohio's team. The entire state follows them, from Cleveland to Cincinnati. The #19, 32, 36 and 80 media markets combined. SJS is the entire Bay area, #10 media market ANH is greater Los Angeles, #2 media market shared by 2 teams Orlando fans can drive 90 minutes to Tampa to see NHL hockey Having a team in your metro area creates fans of the entire NHL. If there is no team, then hockey is ignored. I was watching the Avalanche - Stars game the other day.....because it was the two best teams in the West.....not because I live in either team's footprint.
  6. I lived in Atlanta from 81-98. It has doubled in size since then. Still get back a few times a year to see family and Georgia Tech football games. Back in the 90's, I used to split season tix for the minor league Atlanta Knights, front row behind the goal in the Omni which was downtown. The northern suburbs is the most affluent area in metro Atlanta, and it has a healthy % of northern transplants. A team would do well there. If this is a TV revenue decision, there are two big holes in the top-10 media markets for the NHL: https://mymediajobs.com/market-rankings Atlanta and Houston.
  7. Watching Tampa at Pittsburgh, the ref gets blindsided, gets taken off the ice on a stretcher. He is now conscious and moving his arms and feet, both he and TB's Fleury were injured. Penguins up 4-2 in the 3rd.
  8. You end up rooting for John Smith, the Nazi, because the actor playing him was someone you could empathize with......even though he sent his best friend to the concentration camp and killed millions. I liked the plot/premise because it makes you think about the what-if's in life. What-if: - Roosevelt was assassinated in the 30's, the US President kept us out of the European war and the Manhattan Project never got off the ground. - What if Germany developed the bomb? - What if the Japanese navy avoided / won Midway?
  9. I too discovered Loudermilk on Netflix. It was originally broadcast on AT&T / DirecTV....which I don't have. Great show. I will watch anything with Ron Livingston in it. Office Space and Band of Brothers are in my top 10 list. There is talk of a new season: https://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/1589351-loudermilk-season-4-update-given-by-peter-farrelly
  10. Good Morning, I bring a perspective from the islands, St Croix to be specific. Grew up in Princeton, NJ. Went into the city for weekends with my Grandmother at 6th Ave and 12th street. My Grandfather was a regular Rangers fan back in the 30's, 40's and 50's (I'm not young). I'm no expert, but have gone from a casual fan to watching every game this season......because they are so damn good. Really enjoy the info and perspectives from the fans on this board.
  11. First Post guys: The total domination of the offensive zone that resulted in Lindy's goal was some of the most beautiful motion / passing I have ever seen. LGR!
