2 minutes for slamming the penalty box door is the same 2 minutes for a lazy stick infraction.. I don’t get the point of making one a teachable moment while repeatedly ignoring the other.. especially when we continue to see dumb stick infractions night after night. Hell, the slamming of the door was about the 1st time the entire game anyone showed a friggin pulse during the game.

Johnson should only dress if 12 D man before him are unavailable. I can live with a rookie making mistakes. This case is night and day different than Jack Johnson’s (which is just and as hell). I have a buddy who is a wealth advisor and their office deals exclusively with professional athletes.. he’s always said the PGA guys were the best with money, and the NHL guys were a close second.. He’s told me some nightmare stories (names redacted) about NBA and NFL guys.

A few random thoughts in no particular order: 1. North American hockey is in damn fine shape. The Canadians are still obviously the world standard, but what the USA Hockey National Team Development Program has achieved since 96 is damn impressive. 2. LOL @ the Florida Panthers having both goal keepers, hell of a problem to have. 3. Stutzle and Lundell are going to be really good 4. The State of California had a nice night from a prospect perspective. 5. I was ?\_(ツ)_/? when the Schneider pick was made.. Now I'm 100% on board. Great size, grit, noticeable. Most importantly- I think this is a fantastic tournament.. A great tournament that I absolutely understand/endorse/applaud the Rangers not risking ALF or any rostered kid with WJ eligibility- they have played the tournament before, its time to be a pro.
