  1. Rangers getting goalied! Bread and Laf's 9 goal performance is in doubt.
  2. Carlsberg is good. Pilsner Urquell rules. My dad worked at Carlsberg Research Laboratories in the 60's in Copenhagen. One of the perks of working there was that they were right next door to the Carlsberg Brewery and the researchers had a fully stocked refrigerator with most of the Carlsberg brews available. Anyway one of the researchers was Czech and as a matter of national pride he brought in a bunch of Pilsner brews including Pilsner Urquell. My dad said that the researchers went out and purchased Pilsner Urquell at lunch every day after that instead of drinking the free Carlsberg brews stocked for them. The brewery got upset when they realized that their beer was being ignored and they began putting the special brews like Holiday Elephanter in the freezer instead. Well, free is free and apparently the special Carlsberg options were enough to keep maybe half the researchers from paying for beer at lunch. My dad drank Pilsner Urquell for 6 decades after that. I was still buying him cases when he finally passed at 96.
  3. I don't think so. I think you get into the playoffs and you're going to need a couple of lines scoring well. Otherwise we're at the mercy of the Bread Line having an off-series and we're screwed again like last year. Adjustments are fine but goals are king!
  4. Breadman needs 5 goals for 50. Laf needs 4 for 30. Lets get them all tonight to take the pressure off!
  5. Zib definitely needs to score more at EVS in the playoffs. Currently ranked 120th in the NHL in EVS points in a 9 way tie (to 128).
  6. The Bread Line has 72 EVS goals in 77 games. We probably haven't had a line close to that since Jagr was here.
  7. The Inn is full for the Rangers right now. A couple of decent players sit every night. This is a good thing but it is squatting on Zac Jones and Jonny Brodzinski's opportunities at this point. Both should be playing every game and yet they can't stay in the lineup reliably.
  8. If there's a fight and Vesey is on the ice he will immediately pick one to get thrown out. Team solidarity.
  9. That was an inspired move to the net. It required two guys in front to keep the defense from challenging him. Maybe that's the key to Kakko. Don't look for guys to cycle with him, look for guys who want to crash the net with him.
  10. Kakko is still struggling in his own mind. Laf isn't. That's the difference.
  11. We're all just riding the wave on this one. Hoping it turns into a tsunami before it's done.
  12. It's totally being out of position. The way to make it not out of position is to find ways to get to the slot or make passes to the slot. Otherwise you're just killing time.
  13. They're skating loops with their back or side to the net below the circles as defenders close and they never get to the slot to take a shot and they never find somebody for an open shot. This is Kakko 101.
  14. Big difference between 19 and 22. I was 155 pounds and extremely strong as a weightlifter at 19. I was at 180 at 22.
  15. Kakko needs to make better approaches to the net. He is out of position with the puck more than any other Ranger.
  16. Laf wasn't focusing on defense until Panarin went there. Panarin has been excellent defensively for about 20 games now. Just top notch.
  17. Mika had the 30+ dropoff that often happens. We got lucky and Panarin decided to be a superstar this year. Hopefully he is the glue that binds Laf to the Rangers on a long deal this off-season or next. I really don't want Laf to get to any kind of free agency where other teams can talk to him.
  18. Vesey probably knew the rule and decided if he had to fight he wanted to stay in the game afterwards.
  19. Cuylle has been odd man out a couple of times now. That doesn't feel right.
