If that were to happen, where do you drop Ros? 3rd line would be odd, since you'd have to drop Kakko to 4th line....though Ros on the 4th line would be even weirder?

Was listening to Vince's podcast this morning where he also had a beat reporter for the Caps on. One thing she pointed out was that the Caps either win close games where they're grinding people down, or they get blown out. They have to rely on that style because they don't have team speed anymore. One of the biggest issues Rangers have this year is chances against off the rush, so hopefully they don't have that to worry about as much this round. We know they're going to have to play physical against us, but if we keep our heads up and avoid playing their style, we should be able to draw some PP chances against them. Echoing what everyone else is saying, there's really no way we should struggle against them if we just play our game.

As intriguing as it is, don't think he'd be in. What I'd love to see - Kreids - Zib - Ross Bread - Tro - Laf Cools - Chyt - Kakko Goodie - Wennberg - Vesey That 3rd line combo could be interesting. We already treat Line 1 as our pairing against teams top lines, and that 3rd line with hitting/shooting/defense could be fun to watch.

Wilson is my biggest concern this series. Maybe a hot Lindgren, but more than anything it's WIlson doing Wilson shit, and us buying into it.

Agreed. While I don't have the best feeling about this year being "the year", I DO feel a lot more confident with next. Same squad with a few minor additions/subtractions, a few line tweaks, get everyone healthy and playing the system Lavi wants......the rest of the league better watch out. But despite all that, I'm still REALLY excited for this run coming up. LGR!!!

Glad Rempe is in, definitely could see Tkachuk doing something stupid in the last meaningless (to them) game of the season.

Can we sit Trouba out for this one? You know, to "rest" him......?

Can we split them up next season? Can Kreider slide down to 3rd line, still get all the PP & PK time, and maybe move Cuylle (a guy who loves to hit & shoot) up to Zib's line to alleviate some of his pressure? Worth a shot.

So thats not just me being annoyed with how loud the Isles fans seem to be during this broadcast.

Call me crazy, but I'd love to see a couple games with a line of Cuylle-Zib-Kakko. Not this year obviously, but I think it would be interesting.....

Being the captain, you can't exactly bench the guy. But I DO think you can limit his ice time, based on what we've seen so far and even the coaches own comments. Drop him to the 3rd pairing with limited TOI, to let him "shake off the rust".

Pretty much my line of thought as well. I also think we can go toe to toe against any team right now, but if we can take out the 1st round opponent quicker and not drag every series into a 7 game slugfest, giving the boys some rest between the next round, I'm all for it. Looking at first round potential matchups, I think TB has the experience to take the series longer than we want it to be.
