With the Islanders extending the series the Rangers are in a really good position to take care of business and rest up while these two battle it out.
Go Icelanders! <gag>

They have little to throw.
I should clarify - I didnt mean they're going to win game 4. By "throw everything at us" i was making a reference to Wilson or Mcilrath pulling some shady shit and trying to hurt someone.

Trust and believe the Caps will throw absolutely everything at us the next game. They have nothing to lose.

Up 3 games to none. I'll take it.
One more to go boys.....

Rangers doing everything they can to give this game up.

We need to settle down, we're struggling to make that pass out of our own zone.

I'm sure they aren't happy about that Panarin hit, even though I didn't think it was that bad. I'm expecting them to be out for blood tonight, plus it's basically a must win game for them. Beware shenanigans.
Yep, expecting them to come for Panarin. If we keep our cool and don't buy into their game plan, knowing these refs are calling everything, we let them try and kill them with the PP.

I would be pretty surprised if Lavvy changed anything right now, Ed. It ain't broke....so we ain't fixin' it!
Agreed, keep rolling the lines that got you here. If anything it's only going to get more physical the next 2 games in Washington, no reason to risk another injury to Chyts.

IMO, the Caps played their game plan last night, a physical, defensive game. And we still beat them. I expect more of the same Game 3, and wouldn't be surprised if they try to take shots at Panarin. If we keep our cool and let the Refs handle it the way they have the past 2 games, we own them.

It's funny because I live in Central PA and attend a lot of Hershey Bears games, and I find myself having to explain to my kids why I can't root for the guy. Now, doubly so.

Fotiu was an enforcer in an age of enforcers. He was there because the Flyers set a meta where if you didn't have a Fotiu you lost before you hit the ice.
The reason that the NHL is looking cross-eyed at Rempe right now is because this isn't an age of enforcers. They don't want every team to go out and find a Rempe and bring those days back.
What Rempe needs to do now is to be a physical presence on the ice, just like he is, without fighting unless heavily provoked. What he wants to do is draw instigator penalties from the opposition. Then he can pound without fear of undue discipline.
Just needs to settle down a bit, and I think he did that for the most part yesterday. One thing I've been noticing from him more is that he's starting to use that body in front of the net, jamming up the crease and creating chaos. If he can do that successfully, and maybe learn a few tricks from Kreider about tip-ins, he'll be a force.

If You would've told me at the start of this season that we'd win the Presidents Trophy, a 7ft 4th liner would score our 1st goal of the playoffs, AND that the 2nd goal was in large part because of the physical play of Lafreniere, I would've laughed hysterically and then asked you for some of whatever pills you were popping......but here we are.

I Can't find the game on TV anywhere unless I subscribe to Fubo or Sling, so I'll be listening to it instead. Like a peasant.
