[brooks] Rykov's Not at Training Camp; Future is "Unclear"
CaptainMorganBarron replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Gross was a mistake, they never should have drafted him, should have taken a forward. -

[brooks] Rangers to Add "Muscle and Grit" for Next Season
CaptainMorganBarron replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
The problem is he is a RW we have Kakko, Buch, Gauthier, Fast?, Kravtsov on the RW If we let Fast go and sign Anderson Kravtsov again is stuck in AHL he might flip out and leave for KHL for good. He is probably flipping out that they made him come to the playoffs and chose to play garbage Fogarty over him when Fast was out. -
2020 Offseason Thread: Get to Fixin'

Would any team offer us a big package for Kakko? -
BTW Canadiens are up 2-1 vs Penguins, while Rangers choked. Why? Could it have something to do with their coaching staff vs ours? Look who is running our offense and PP: https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=4072 a guy with almost no coaching experience.

Why is Georgiev not part of the future? he is younger than Shesterkin. What if something happens to Shesterkin? What if Wall and Huska suck? Miller I am sure is ready for NHL next season.

[brooks] Rangers to Add "Muscle and Grit" for Next Season

Also I am confused, we outhit the Canes so the grit and physicality, while are always needed, were not a reason we lost this. Our offense wasn't able to produce, we also have very weak offense all season long from our bottom 2 lines, and the Carolina coaching staff is way better than ours. -

so who are these gritty physical players going to replace? on forward we got: Lemieux who is obviously physical. Zib, Kreider, and Panarin are not going anywhere. Buch and Howden are gritty and physical. Kakko is only 19 I doubt he is getting replaced yet. Di Giuseppe, Fast, Gauthier and McKegg are all gritty. McKegg will be gone so his spot could be upgraded possibly same with Fast. That leaves us with Chytil and Strome. Is that who they are replacing? On defense we got Smith and Staal who can only be bought out, but they are ok physically and are gritty. Trouba is pretty physical but needs to be moved because of his contract and terrible defensive mistakes he is making. Lindgren is physical and gritty Fox is not getting traded probably, but he is not very physical so maybe they do consider trading him. ADA is a bit more physical and gritty than Fox. Hajek maybe is not very gritty or physical, but he doesn't have much trade value. -

I told you they will likely overreact and make some bad trades. -

Actually would make sense to package Gauthier for Crouse. -
I keep debating in my head, nobody is completely garbage, everybody has some good qualities. Lundqvist of course has to retire. McKegg makes no sense to bring back Fast no idea if they bring him back I guess it depends on several things I guess they might qualify Di Giuseppe Due to NMC they likely need to trade Trouba We have a lot of softish non physical players like Kakko, Chytil, Kravtsov, Panarin, Strome and many more that aren't very good defensively and aren't trusted at penalty killing.
