  1. The rumors are that this makes perfect sense for both United and Ronaldo. He agrees to two years but stays one and goes to the MLS, leaving them room for Haaland

Haaland would be my choice over Kane. Not that Haaland is necessarily better, I just think he would be a better fit with the way they play. But if that pans out it’s a bright future for sure.

Watching Ronaldo at BMO field in March is gonna be a good laugh in a few years lol.

  2. I will never understand the Van De Beek signing. Was really well regarded coming out of Ajax like so many other stars. 35mil pound transfer. Rides the bench and is rarely used as a sub. Can't get in the squad ahead of Pogba, Fred, Matic, McTominay.

Ronaldo for 15mil euros plus 8 mil addons is some tidy business for immediate impact.

How he doesn’t get a game ahead of Fred baffles me but anyway. Think this was a case where management signed him rather than Ole asking for him. Hence why he never plays as Ole didn’t want him in the first place and doesn’t think he fits in their system, especially ahead of Pogba and Fernandez. The only player this team needs now is a DM like Rice or Phillips (my choice). Somebody to be their Kante game in game out.

  3. Or Cavani agrees to a contract termination. Don't care either way, let's fucking go

Cavani has been your best striker since he signed, and one of the best in the EPL, that would not be a smart move.

  4. There are just so many different cups, competitions, etc that everyone has plenty of time to play in. To be honest, I’d rather have Kane instead of Ronaldo.

I mean obviously, who wouldn’t, but Ronaldo isn’t costing $160+M. Plus, Ronaldo has been there, done it, and won everything. Kane has played in 3 finals and a WC semi-final and done precisely fuck all.

I think this is win win. Gives them a huge chance at the title.

  5. I have no clue how Christiano Ronaldo fits into the current Manchester United team, but I'm at least excited to see it happen. This window has been nuts.

    G: DeGea

    D: Shaw-Maguire-Varane-Wan Bissaka

    DM: Either McTominay/Fred/Matic

    M: Pogba-Fernandez

    A: Sancho-Cavani-Ronaldo

Greenwood (will get plenty of games)

    Martial (not good enough)

Rashford (injured and out of form)

Van Der Beek (nobody likes him, but then you can’t trust the Dutch)

James (terrible, was never gonna be Ryan Giggs)

Lindelof (should have stuck to hockey)

Tello (thanks for giving Shaw a kick up the ass)

    Etc.

    Looks pretty good to me.

  6. O-DE-GAARD doo doo doodoo doodoo (I apologize for the Ted Lasso reference in advance)

    Lmao.

Tbh I’m with Zuc. Smith-Rowe is a better and more effective player from what I have seen. Albeit this is likely less than you guys, but just my opinion. Not a bad signing, same as Ramsdale, I just don’t think either make you any better. You aren’t going from 8th to 5th with Odegaard and Ramsdale. But it’s early so we’ll see.

  7. it'll be interesting if RM will try to get him.

Tbh if it weren’t for the economic climate in football I think he would already be playing in Spain for Barca or Real.

  8. did you guys forget the world cup? he dominated where Ronaldo and Messi fizzled out. Mbappe has been bad throughout the UCL and Euros. Something must be up but comparing him to Ronaldo who's arguably the best player to ever play the game is unfair

Yeah, and the French team is absolutely loaded. Even Giroux can score for France lol.

Wasn’t necessarily comparing, was just saying I don’t think he is a top player, yet. He needs a move away to prove himself IMO. Obviously it’s not like he’s awful or anything lol, he’s welcome at Blackburn!

  9. Mbappe was completely ineffective for France in the Euros. I was genuinely shocked to see how many chances he squandered where he could've put France up by a goal and avoid penalties. And then of course, he's the one who misses the penalty. I think he's a great player, but he's playing in a soft league. When faced with the important games like eliminations, he flounders.

Exactly. Big players turn up in big games, and Ligue 1 isn’t good quality. But, he’s young so my opinions could change in no time to be fair to him.

  10. I agree on Neymar but not Mbappe. He’s the real deal

I can understand why some would think that.

He would need to play in a better league for me to change my opinion. I just don’t give much credence to scoring against Dijon and Angers etc. It’s why I have always rated Ronaldo better than Messi (not by much to be fair), he did it in the EPL and killed it. It’s tough to do when Martin Keown is trying to end your career at the same time lol.

  11. With that kind of money they can go on and resurrect Maradona too. Shit, let's see if Maldini wants to be a cyborg.

PSG have got to be cooking the books. Where is FFP on this?

Qatar is hosting a World Cup…

Let’s not get into how corrupt FIFA is lol.

Having said that, PSG still won’t win the UCL IMO. Signed half these players 5-10 years too late and Pogba is the most overrated player in world football, swiftly followed by Neymar and Mbappe. There’s a reason why these guys don’t come to the EPL.

  12. Apparently, PSG is also trying to get Ronaldo

like, how can this happen. Consider the sport ruined if they can do that

They should see if Eusebio and Beckenbauer fancy a game.

  13. Relegation would probably be the quickest way to reset. Can offload the big earners quicker and blood the kids. But you have to be careful not to sink lower like Blackburn, Leeds, Southampton etc. Plus the championship is the hardest league in the world to get out of IMO. Very little difference between top and bottom.

  14. I mean, that second goal should've been disallowed for the Brentford defender literally holding Leno's arms down...but our defending was pathetic. Absolutely dreadful performance. I almost hope we get relegated as a big FUCK YOU to the Kroenke's, though it'll never happen. We're Midtable FC

I can see your point but it’s weak goalkeeping. He has to do more there.

  15. Arsenal just aren’t a good team anymore, has been that way for a while now. It’s pretty much as simple as that tbh. Top 4 is lightyears away based on this performance (and lineup). I will say Brentford play some really nice football though.

But, as the cliche goes, it’s a game of two halves (or four quarters if you ask Ted Lasso).

  16. Aubameyang, Lacazette, and Nketiah all set to miss the opener. THE TIME OF BALOGUN IS HERE

He’ll play Pepe or Martinelli instead I bet. Play like City with no striker lol

  17. Fair play. I haven't heard of them either. Just funny how much stuff you can dig up on sites like transfermarkt and eliteprospects. I even have an eliteprospects page from playing club hockey [emoji1787]

    Lmao that’s awesome.

  18. I don't know, I could see Hank taking that as a smack in the face. Offering a PTO instead of a one year contract.

Yeah maybe, didn’t think of it that way. But I think with such a severe procedure and not having played in over a year he is high risk (to an extent). I’m happy to sign him but if he never plays a game I think it starts to look a bit ridiculous from both sides, and I’m not sure either party would want that.

  19. If I’m Drury I’m offering a professional tryout. See how he does at camp. Win win situation. Obviously he would have to accept but being the competitor he is I think it would work out.

  20. Transfermarkt is definitely the eliteprospects of football. I even found my wife's cousin who plays in the 7th/8th level of English professional football...

Probably drank in the pub with him lmao.

Mind if I ask who he played for? That was about my level lol.
