Would be some shit to be in first place basically the entire season to end up finishing second because of a no show game at home against a collapsing Philly team. I actually think they still pull it off and win the next two. Hopefully I’m not just wishful thinking.

I like the idea of Chytil on RW with Zibanejad and Kreider better than him at center if in fact he is able to play in the playoffs. That line and the 4th line are the only lines I would mess with. Roslovic can play 4th line center between Goodrow and Vesey.

3 points in semi final of Frozen Four last night

Team has comeback so many times that they think they can take the first period off and use it as a slow warm up every night. Last night they never came around. If I’m the coach I start Cuylle, Goodrow, Rempe against the Islanders with clear instructions to make every legal hit possible without taking themselves out of the play. Don’t start Trouba not that I would play him. Stir the crowd up and the team up. Get energy into the team.

If they are going to play the 6 D who are playing the best right now. Trouba is out and Jones is in but Lavi doesn’t have the balls to do it. The playoffs should be who’s playing best. Something is wrong with Trouba’s game right now. Not sure if he’s playing hurt or if it’s rust but you can tell he’s not right. Part of it seems to be mental. He makes plays that a player of his experience should never make.

Could go Lindgren-Fox, Miller-Schneider & Jones-Gus but it will never happen

12-2-1 when Rempe plays now 6-5 when he sits. Brodzinski doesn’t bring enough to the lineup to play him over Rempe.

Not sure how our announcers don’t think that’s a slash. It’s a full wind up chop.

Worse part is the Rangers were in the middle of having a scoring chance. One of the most bizarre plays I’ve seen.

We will see. Don’t remember much being done to Hathaway in past games, but my memory isn’t so great these days.

Not as gritty as past Flyers teams but they have one of the dirtier players in the game in Hathaway.

Rangers insider says Chytil isn’t playing again this season. Hopes are that he might be able to travel with the team if they have a deep playoff run.

Chytil had a 13 game heater where he scored 11 goals and had 16 points. The rest of the season he had 11 goals and 29 points in 61 games. Like I said other than that heater and the playoff stretch 2 years ago not overly impressive. Yes he will score more than Weinberg but he can’t defend, penalty kill or win faceoffs. Not worth the risk in my opinion. But everyone is entitled to have their own opinion.

Isn’t he 6’8”?

For anyone curious the Rangers are 6-4 in games that Rempe hasn’t played since he played his first game against the Islanders.

Team is playing well. Kakko is playing his best hockey of the season with Wennberg . Goodrow, Brodzinski, Vesey has been a good 4th line. Chytil has never impressed me other than when he got hot for a few games in the playoffs and for the 1 stretch last season. Why risk changing the team chemistry for Chytil? We aren’t talking an all star. And who knows what he comes back as. Too risky a move for me in the playoffs. If it was January or February I would be in favor of it.

Only possible way I see Wheeler playing is if they are up 3-0 in the finals just to say he played on a Stanley Cup finals winning team. At this point Chytil coming back in the playoffs in my opinion doesn’t help them at all. Comeback next season if possible but this season should be a foregone conclusion that he sits out.

Without a doubt he’s a matchup guy but the last 3 teams are gritty teams. If that isn’t the matchup he’s here for then why is he here?

12-2-1 in games Rempe has played this season. That’s a .833 point percentage. Don’t think he’s hurt the team much when he’s played. He gives the team much needed energy and it seems to me the rest of the team plays bigger and tougher when he’s in the lineup.

I’ll wait to after Hathaway cheap shots Zibanejad, Panarin or Fox to say Rempe should’ve played this one.
