  1. ^ThirtyOne is making a whole lot of sense. With Kreider its always "if..." and he has not been the scoring machine we all hoped he would turn into. I would say that he's been a better player post-health scare, but still not the elite guy. Gorton has to work him hard and get as favorable of a deal out of him as possible in order to give him that 7-year deal. 6 would be better still, but at what rate? IDK guys, speed is such an asset in today's game that I think we need a way to sign him.
  2. WTF is going on in Mets land? Tough sports year: Rangers in hell all season, Knicks sucked, Mets imploding, Red Bulls soccer losing ridiculously, Ferrari not winning F1, Giants WTF? But I cannot stop myself from watching. I've now morphed into one of those dopes who slow down to take a hard look at the car wreck and slow traffic (I don't actually do that, but you know what I'm feeling.)
  3. METS gonna' met. Did you catch the interview the Mets played of Collins during his FOX Sports debut? He was quite emphatic about the diminishing role of the Manager in today's baseball and how even the lineup card is made for him. He said that the "old days of getting to the park at 11AM for a 7 o'clock game and reviewing tape to help finalize the lineup are over. Now, you come into the office in the afternoon, and a lineup card is on your desk." (Think I got that reported well.)
  4. Rebuild, re-boot, re-tool, re-do...whatever its called or whatever it is...this is moving along nicely. LGR!
  5. Hearing that Interlagos may be cut soon in favor of a road course in Rio. I'm not sure that's a good idea.
  6. Ugh! It's difficult being a Ferrari fan right now. VET doesn't seem to be able to dial the car in and LEC is once again, a victim! I would have pitted him BEFORE BOT was able to get a tow and pass him and certainly before HAM did too. Geez!! Team Ferrari are inexplicably making poor decisions. VER cannot be too happy either -- he got rid of his team competitor RIC but he too cannot seem to find pace. Oh-well, on to Barcelona.
  7. Thx for the tip...I forgot about that option (Bethel is only about a hour from my house so I tend to think of that site first.)
  8. Improper use of the word 'epic.' It's everywhere these days.
  9. I have Stones tickets for MetLife if they re-book the date plus Dead & Co. at CitiField this June dancing on the floor somewhere near the stage. (Super bummed that my work and vacation schedule take me away from Bethel for the Woodstock weekend - I really wanted to see Doobies and Santana.)
  10. ^At least you get replies. I have stuff 'unanswered' from days, weeks and even years ago...mostly because they are vexing questions that nobody wants to really face (spend $) or think about. Somehow we carry on and get through it all but to me, our process or service can be better.
  11. Yup -- all New York State property in a variety of counties. Usually, you can listen to the auction too as a 'guest.' (Not tomorrow though, we only have 1 property in Orange County and I'll be on the cell phone with the office where the Internet will be run. Usually, they are on-site with me and the rest of the team.)
  12. That?s what I do. We sell about 800-1,200 properties at auction annually. NYSAuctions.com
  13. That 'left lane' obstructionist still pisses me off!
  14. ^Must try yourself some Shrimp 'po-boy sandwiches...and a praline or two for dessert.
  15. I'm wondering if NYR really need to 'bottom-out' twice in order to have a successful rebuild. Sure, another #1 or #2 pick would be wonderful, but how realistic is that? I can see a way forward where this year's additions, plus our other moves to date (invites to camp, etc.) AND what we might get from the draft or free agency starts to build our team's ascension in the ranks. I'm not predicting a Stanley Cup next season but I'm questioning just how the addition of 'newer, better parts' can somehow keep us at or near the bottom while at the same time, not take advantage of those same newer talents? I mean at some point, you just start getting better, right?
  16. I'm not listening. Addiction is a vile thing. No matter what he did, or the reason for it, does not excuse that he broke the law and the social contract among people. Dream job up in smoke. What are the odds of that?
  17. @rmc51 - Yup! You nailed what each of us is thinking but don't want to say out loud. Let's hope, pray and "think good thoughts" that the balls will bounce our way -- so we don't all feel like we got kicked in the balls. :palm:
