If this is the player we have for the next 4-5 seasons, we're in pretty good shape. But its only been half a season thus far.

With Chytil starting to look good in a Top 6 RW role, the attention should be turned back to C depth, for 3C and/or eventual Strome replacement/insurance.

Don't know much about this guy, but i think there's generally an unwarranted bias towards external 'solutions' when its more of a coin toss as to whether it'll turn out to be an upgrade over what can be utilized or developed in-house. So at the very least you should not give up too much in these cases.

He still looks better than last year...holds on to puck for longer, makes a good play here and there. Sure, wed hope for a hell of alot more, but the potential is still apparent.

the PP is just better with Zibanejad there. Panarin can be just as effective on the other board.

its hilarious how many open net bangers Laf gets...and just about all he gets...but he's so good at it, one day we may need to stop joking. I mean, what if he turns into an open net bang it in specialist, with like 25+ plus of them one season...you'd have to consider that some kinda crazy skill, or knack, rather than luck.

Another game that to me just shows the rangers have the pieces to the puzzle - just need to figure out how to put it together consistently and efficiently.

Kakko seems like a good fit next to Kreider-Zib...would just give that some more time.

Would like to see chytil next to panaran/strome or kreider/zib. If he cant make either of those work than he truly is a dud.

If longevity is going to be an ongoing question...seems like we have the perfect contract in place. And theres plenty of time to work on a contingency.

There are always going to be teams that only start putting it together and get hot in the last quarter of the season - who become cup contenders. So no need to seel our fate at this point.

A few things need to fall into place before they can be considered contenders. At the very least u need Zib and Panarin both in top form. And you need more production out of Kakko, Chytil, Laf

Zibanejad needs to retain that left board spot on the PP when Panarin comes back. Not sure why they ever switched that up.
