We got kakko which is amazing but besides that a pretty flat draft.

Henriksson, 18, skated in 45 games with Frolunda's junior (J20) team in SuperElit this past season, registering 13 goals and 36 assists for 49 points, along with a plus-35 rating and 26 penalty minutes. He led SuperElit in assists and plus/minus rating, and tied for the league lead in points, and he also led all players in their U18 season or younger in points during the season. Henriksson recorded nine points (two goals, seven assists) in six playoff games in SuperElit, as he tied for the league lead in assists and tied for second in the league in points during the playoffs. In addition, he helped Frolunda's U18 team win the gold medal in 2018-19 by recording seven points (two goals, five assists) and a plus-eight rating in seven playoff games. Henriksson skated in two SHL games with Frolunda this past season, and he was one of 17 players in their U18 season or younger who played at least one game in the SHL during the season.

The 5-9, 176-pounder has played in Frolunda's organization for the last two seasons (2017-18 and 2018-19). Henriksson tallied 50 points (20 goals, 30 assists) and posted a plus-42 rating in 38 games with Frolunda's U18 team in 2017-18, and helped the team win a bronze medal by notching six points (two goals, four assists) in seven games during the playoffs.

Internationally, the Malmo, Sweden native has represented his country in several tournaments. Most recently, Henriksson registered nine points (three goals, six assists) in seven games while helping Sweden win a gold medal at the 2019 IIHF U18 World Championship. He was named one of the Top Three Players on his Team in the tournament, as he led Sweden in assists and points. Henriksson also helped Sweden earn a silver medal at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, as he registered two goals in five games during the tournament.

Entering the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Henriksson was ranked No. 23 on NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of European skaters eligible for this year's Draft.

Sounds like a solid pick up late in the 2nd. Had a really good U18 world championship.

Excerpt from the 2019 Black Book

He has been playing on a strong line with 2020 top prospect Lucas Raymond all season with both his club team and for team Sweden and there is no doubt he can keep up with and play with superstar players. Henriksson's hockey IQ is very high and his reads are fantastic in all three zones. He can find passes that no one else can see and he will set up his linemates for one-timers in high scoring areas. He is most definitely a pass-first playmaker and really excels from the hash marks on the power play when he gets more time and space to thread his passes through the defending box. He rarely shoots the puck and his shot are very weak but somewhat accurate.

Henriksson's skills are somewhat underrated, mostly because he often makes the easy, smart play but also since he will get outshined by his super flashy linemate Lucas Raymond. However, his hands are soft and he can stickhandle well in tight situations and move the puck an inch to make a perfect tape-to-tape pass. He has this ability to always make it out of the corners with the puck on his stick, rolling away from his opponents his quick feet ability to evade getting hit.

He is a guy his teammates and coaches always can rely on since he always works hard and makes good reads all over the ice to help his team. He will never cheat defense to create offense and he is great at distributing the puck to his wingers from the defensive zone too.
Henriksson is small, listed as 5'9" 174lbs and that's a big question mark to if he will be able to compete against big, strong adults going forward. He can be found having a hard time stripping the puck from bigger, stronger players, but somehow he manages to break up a pass or pickpocket the puck off another player.
His skating has to improve considering his lack of size, he is not necessarily a bad skater, his strides and technique are just fine, but there is not enough power or top speed for him to create the separation he will need. His footspeed is good and he moves very smoothly laterally.

Considering his high hockey IQ he could be a gamble worth making at the draft, but he will be a long-term project for whatever team picks him.

It's a pick that felt like a reach, but small, shifty centers who know how to move the puck can succeed in today's game.
