Can't argue that. I just really wanted Gartner to be a part of it. One of my favorite players.

No argument I liked him as well n was quite shocked when he was moved. All's well that ends well I guess is my point

The Zubov trade was after they won the cup and it didn't work at all.

The Gartner trade didn't really help them win the cup either.  Anderson was done when he got here.

I would agree with this, however, they had already won the Cup when they traded Zubov. 

 

- Won the Cup in Summer of '94.

 

- Trade was made September 1, 1995. 

 

Zubov (25 at the time of the trade) and Nedved (23) were traded for Luk Robittaille (29, turning 30 the next month) and Ulf Samuelsson (31)

 

This move set the team back for years, as Zubov went on to have a great career.  Nedved  not so much.
