Hope so.

Doubt it.

Chytil probably, yeah.

Kakkos getting 45. Laf will have his typical 35-40

None of them are getting anywhere near 60 because none of them are going to get the PP time. They spent almost all of their time at 5v5, and that's where they will spend all of their time again because Rangers gonna Rangers.

Connor McDavid had 59 5v5 pts this year. They aren't Connor McDavid.

If those 3 get over 60, Zibanejad and Panarin are both under 75.

It depends on how the points are acquired.  The only way Zib and Panarin lose significant points is if they don't get 75% of the power play time as they have the last two seasons.

This isn't true.

They already get some pp time and see action 4v4.  They don't only play 5v5.  All they need to do is improve their consistency.  Gotta eliminate the mutliple 4 or 5+ game scoreless streaks.  Eventhough you won't admit it, this is where an actual game plan helps.

All of them played close to 90% of their ice time at 5v5. 4v4 time is negligible. No Rangers forward had over 20 min of 4v4 all year. Any PP time on the kids' ledger is also pretty illegitimate. It's the final 30-35 seconds of every PP that starts with the puck behind their own net because the puck just got cleared on PP1 and they are leaving the ice. PP2 gets one shot to gain the zone and establish control to have maybe 15-20 seconds to score. One failure to gain the zone, or one clear, and it's over.

Time is finite, and they need some premium PP time to see the numbers you are talking about. Any PP time you take away from Zibanejad and Panarin is going to have a hugely negative effect on their totals. A game plan isn't turning these guys into McDavid at 5v5. A game plan that reallocates PP time helps the kids and hurts the stars. I'm fine with that, but most aren't.

Right. Well they aren't accruing 60 points 5v5. Nor 50. 40-45 points at 5v5 is a really good year. A few more maybe chipped in at 4v4/3v3. The only way you get up to 60 from there is PP opp, which would be a massive blow to Zib/Panarin production.

If we get him under 3m I think we are doing well. One of his more equal comparisons in terms of performance is Joel Farabee, who the Flyers signed to a 6 year/ 5m per right after his ELC.

I’m really hoping Laf banks on himself and takes a 2 year lesser money with the idea that he can really cash in after the 24/25 year.

Could you imagine what we would be saying on here if we were paying Farabee 5M?
