Let me tell you this man, I love Gallants press conferences. Pulls no punches, never knew he can be this snippy.

Few early questions about Chytil being scratched and he re-directs it to talking about the game; that’s good, because as much as Chytil needs to be better, and as much of a message as Gallant is trying to send to him, he also knows burying him in the media does nothing for his confidence.

I like that about him. He’s trying to send a message to Chytil; it’s obvious to us it’s about him needing to up his game and performance. But he doesn’t need to go running to the media and tell them how bad he’s been and how much he needs to be better because that’ll crush a kids confidence.

The message was directly between coach and player, which is where it should stay.

I was impressed that the lower bowl was packed at the start, given that it is half empty in most arenas.  Then it was apparent that it was all Rangers fans, there on time to see their one game a year.

Gosh do I hate all black/dark unis.  They all look the same on TV and you can't tell the players apart.
