Welcome to the inaugural Acquisition Power Rankings! If you are not familiar with power rankings, it is a rating system that analyzes the results of sports competitions to provide objective ratings for each player. Use your own objectives to make your changes to the rankings. That can include contract, cost to acquire, how realistic to acquire, how cool their dad is, etc.

Always use the most recent power rankings list provided by the post directly before yours when making your adjustments.

How It Works:

• I will provide the initial power rankings based on the opening night roster.

This season, each poster will be able to make 3 (THREE) moves  in which you can move a single player up or down 3 (THREE) slots, or move players 1 slot each once a day. (Previously: You may make additional moves after 3 posts by different users OR 3 days have past.)

• Adding players - you may add players of your choice. Any added player is entered at the bottom. Adding a player counts a 1 move. (you can move that player up with a second move)

Players who re-sign will be removed from the list and the list re-ordered with players ranked below those players moving up.

This isn't a serious thread, but it is fun, so please take it somewhat seriously and don't intentionally sabotage the game for the rest of the forum.

Comments regarding your moves are encouraged. Extended discussions about another user are prohibited. If you feel that strongly about any given player, open a new thread on them and let the forum have a discussion about it.

I will start with my 2 moves:

2021-22 Interactive Trade Acquisition Power Rankings:

1. Jay Beagle (added)

2. Nino Neiderreiter (added)

Beagle a cheap forward on the end of a contract, Wins faceoffs, plays a defensive role, physical, and I'll repeat the faceoffs.

Nino - a solid middle 6 forward on the last deal of his contract. An all around player with good size that could fit on any of the wings on any line, if necessary.

Giroux is the guy if he's made available.

Sharks are falling out of it.  They already have a butt load of money committed to for guys on the wrong side of 30, no way they can add Hertl to that list.

Rankings are still lopsided. Nino and Stastny need to basically swap positions with like Hertl and Giordano.

Disagree on Stastny, hasn't been rumors yet, but unless the Jets make a run pretty soon he's a rental candidate.  Beagle just had surgery, out 8 weeks.
