AAV is friendly, and frankly I don't think you mind a 34-36 year old RNH on your team.

This seems like a good piece of business for the Oilers.

That's good news for the league. Pretty friendly deal, except for the length. 8 years fora 28 year old? I guess he'd be serviceable at 36.

Hopefully it sets the tone for players in that range.

If RNH is worth that, is a guy like Danault going to get? Kinda equals no?

Yeah, this is a template for sure to suggest that term and security will come at the expense of AAV.

Am I the only one that doesn't like RNH?

Well, he's not the kind of guy the Rangers need, so it's fine not to like him. It's really not that important, though — how this affects the market is.

I don't like him. But I like this deal so much, I almost don't don't like him.

nah you're not alone. He gets a solid meh from me especially for a #1. If the deal helps us great. The term imo isn't ideal, I would lean towards he's bought out before seeing the end of it.
