The Dude Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Hall must have had zero takers. Go to Buffalo, play with Eichel put up some numbers and cash in next year..
torontonyr Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Hall must have had zero takers. Go to Buffalo, play with Eichel put up some numbers and cash in next year.. I feel that's the general spirit. Have them play together and see it's magic and hopefully retain.
Phil Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 I seriously doubt he had "zero" takers. I actually think is probably a good, calculated risk on his part, too. He plays a season (or a huge chunk of one) on Eichel's wing, pots 40, and goes into a better, more stable free agent market next summer when the cap can possibly increase. He and his agent knew this one was flat, so there's probably some hesitancy to lock himself down just yet. Colorado seemed the measurably better market, but maybe balked at the price? They still needed to re-sign Burakovsky, and ended up dealing for Saad ($5M x 1).
Blue Heaven Posted October 12, 2020 Author Posted October 12, 2020 Hopefully for his sake he didn?t see what happened to Dak Prescott today Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Sod16 Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 How many contenders can add $8m right now? Not that surprising that he would have to go to Buffalo. The one year is a surprise and reflects how much his star has fallen in a short time. Good move by Buffalo. If he has a gels with Eichel he may be inclined to re-sign, and even if he does not re-sign, he may help get them in the playoffs for once.

I’m sure the rest of the NHL won’t take any notice, but has it ever been more clear that Hall has one goal and one goal only? A one year deal in Siberia basically to wait and hope another team he’d rather play for can free up money to pay him even more. Shrewd decision if all you’re about is dollars and not ever winning.

Good luck Tay Tay.
ThirtyONE Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Taylor Hall once bragged about being “good luck” because the teams he’s on always select #1 overall lol
Keirik Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 And with that call Buffalo elevated themselves to the second worst team in Canada
Pete Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 I hope there's a room full of people blowing me when I interview for my next job.
BrooksBurner Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 I hope there's a room full of people blowing me when I interview for my next job. That depends if you have also been able to land 6 #1 overall picks just for being at a company.
Keirik Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 I hope there's a room full of people blowing me when I interview for my next job. Especially when I only plan on spending half a year there then bounce
Patrick Bateman Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Lol I really hope that whiteboard is the only way they track their calendar
