Well yeah, these shitty guys will be exposed so better guys won't. At best some mediocre NHLer's will be exposed or guys with terrible contracts. I think teams learned from last time and Seattle will be far from Vegas when they ice their first team.

Plenty of teams will still suffer from having to expose good players if they opt to go 8S 1G in order to prioritize defense. More stacked teams at forward still can only protect a maximum of 7. I also don't doubt we see deals to select certain players as we did in Vegas' draft.

Guy isn't terrible. Had a good stint with the Devils. Definitely stepped up to the task when Schneider started falling apart. He's from LI too. Good fall back option if there's an injury. He's got quite a bit of NHL games played.

Nah, the prevailing wisdom was that they would re-sign him this offseason for that purpose. He's a UFA currently.
