Slobberknocker Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 back to the lumber yard danny... hell of a career for him. i'd have no regrets.
LindG1000 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 The G1000 shuts down. Farewell, sweet prince.
BlairBettsBlocksEverything Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 absolute fuckin warrior. what a career. I forget which episode of SPittin Chiclets it was, but Whitney was telling a story about how Girardi almost quit hockey when he was in the ECHL but his dad convinced him to just finish out the season and think about it then. He wound up getting up to the AHL by the end of that year and eventually made his way to NY, and signed himself a pretty ticket along the way. I consider G a Rangers legend. maybe not 'retire his number' status but a legend nonetheless
RangerTheo Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Question, does this save us his buyout cap hit?
siddious Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Always liked girardi a lot. Hope he comes back to the rangers in some capacity Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Dunny Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Goaltenders dream D man. Just out worked everybody to get to where he got to. Went out playing 18 minutes/night for the best team in the league. Legend, really.
Keirik Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Great career. I don’t know why but I wish he played another 2 years or so. I’ll miss seeing him out there.

Vodka Drunkenski Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I hope they do some sort of tribute for him before a game
Pete Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I hope they do some sort of tribute for him before a gameThey could put a #5 in front of the net so pucks can bounce in the net off of it, or deflect directly to the other team.
Rranger Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 It’s not often if you asked a 100 people to use one word to describe a player all 100 would say warrior. He was. Enjoy the fishing Dan.
Dunny Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 This guy is a serious hockey writer who knows his stuff.
Kevin Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 This guy is a serious hockey writer who knows his stuff. Callahan probably was his choice for MVP too.
Long live the King Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Girardi got 2 first place votes for Norris that year.
Dunny Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Girardi got 2 first place votes for Norris that year. Cox and Brooks Couldn't be anybody else.
