Flynn Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Good for Columbus.. Love seeing a team go for it when they have the chance
BlairBettsBlocksEverything Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Good for Columbus.. Love seeing a team go for it when they have the chance they're gonna sneak in as the 8th seed, get bounced by Tampa and still not have any organizational success, lose Panarin and Bobrovsky and start over again with a not great team and an 8 year Duchene contract weighing them down
Phil Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 This is fantastic news for the Rangers and Kevin Hayes. The market for his services should now explode open with Nashville, Winnipeg, etc.
Gravesy Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Yup. Dreger just said done deal on the twittermachine.
Sod16 Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 This is good news in terms of the market opening up over the weekend. It's not particularly good news in terms of Ottawa's take. It's a first plus what appear to be B grade prospects at best, used puck bags at worst. If Hayes is now going to bring appreciably less than this, we will be disappointed.

Idk...it has a chance of being 2 1sts if he resigns there plus I think Abramov is closer to an A- prospect. Doesn't sound horrible for a rental.
Slobberknocker Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 good, Ottawa is such a shit show. that owner so needs to go to bring stability to that franchise.
Gravesy Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 Ottawa Senators receive 2019 first-round pick, forward prospects Vitaly Abramov and Jonathan Davidsson, and a conditional 2020 first-round pick (if Duchene signs a long-term extension with Columbus, Ottawa gets the pick) Columbus Blue Jackets receive Matt Duchene and defenseman prospect Julius Bergman As per Custance. Good deal for both parties imo.
