NYR2711
Does this mean Ruff is out as an assistant coach?

ThirtyONE
I love that I don't have to see Scott Arniel's face anymore.
Respecttheblue
I love that I don't have to see Scott Arniel's face anymore. Don't forget, people said similar about Sullivan, and he went on to thrive elsewhere.
ThirtyONE
Don't forget, people said similar about Sullivan, and he went on to thrive elsewhere. Maybe but Scott Arniel has been a head coach elsewhere and failed miserably. I'm not exactly sure what he's good at.
CBrowningPI
They kept him so he can teach the ruff stuff. Sent from my SM-N900T using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

The Dude
I knew that name sounded familiar. David Oliver had a cup of coffee as a player with the Rangers in 96/97.
Phil
The plan calls for Oliver and Ruff to accompany Quinn behind the bench while Brown will be upstairs. Brown and Ruff will work with the defense. Ruff, who along with goaltending coach Benoit Allaire survived the purge that cost Vigneault and assistants Scott Arniel and Darryl Williams their jobs, will be responsible for the penalty kill, while Oliver and Brown will share responsibility for the power play. https://nypost.com/2018/07/17/rangers-makeover-continues-with-two-rookie-coaching-hires/ Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Giacomin
The D was in such a disarray and young that we need two coaches, plus a HC who is hands-on about D.

siddious
?Quinn has returned from his trip to Sweden, during which he met with Henrik Lundqvist, Mika Zibanejad and Jesper Fast. ?If I was better at geography I?d have met with Zucc, too,? the coach said, referring to Mats Zuccarello. ?I didn?t realize Norway was just a hop away.? I doubt Quinn was booking his own travel. The Rangers almost certainly paid for this trip.
