sharks will be kicking themselves if they don’t win... they have controlled much of the game and we’ve seen the b minus or c version of the knights tonight. gotta find a way to win down 2-0 is a tough ask against this vegas squad

Sharks with a late one to go up 2-0 end 1. Vegas should make a game of it. Either way, they?re fun to watch. What a great job putting this team together and a better job coaching it. Their worst pick was Lindberg

God, I wanna pull up that thread.

Vegas looks set to go to the conference finals

What a way to add to this historic season for the Knights (The Golden Misfits). Their intro in the western final will be interesting depending on who they face. ;)

Even if this team was bad (they aren’t) fleury playing like this would give the rangers a chance to win every series. Guy has been lights out. I think these guys very reasonably could win the cup and man what a story that would be

"We've got 45 proprietary analytical metrics, have carefully crafted our roster over the past ten years, we have a prospect pipeline designed to mitigate any injury and have hand chosen two Vets to provide key leadership when its needed most"

Congrats to Vegas. Fuck yeah. Too bad they can?t go 16-0. Lol

This is actually a disaster for the LV franchise. I mean, they had a grace period the first few years.....they could stink and nobody would give a hoot.

God Help them if in a few years when the Raiders come there, they are a bad team. The novelty of a new NHL franchise will be gone.....new arena gone....playoff success gone.

They'll be looking for Sheldon Adelson to buy them to cover the losses.

Welllll.... can't be certain it is a disaster. Opposite arguments could be made that this could ignite a solid fanbase or a winning culture. Their mgmt, coaching and young core could lead to a competitive team for years.

Assume your speculation is right. If so, then so be it. Sorta natural selection. If the market really can not support a hockey team, then they do not deserve one. Only time will tell. After Seattle, the NHL needs to stop expanding for a decade. Instead evaluate the health and intentions of franchises like Carolina or Florida or whoever. If a new market is demanding an NHL franchise, then someone can move from a market that is just not strong enough to support an NHL team.
