Myusername Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Now a +51 in 28 games  He's only been a minus player in 3 games this season. Even considering he's playing on a stacked team, that's still fucking impressive I'm guessing he'll be in the AHL next season, so we'll see what he's really made of then.
Dunny Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 I didn't notice him last night, but we had company and my kids are psychopaths so I didn't get to pay close attention. Russia was largely ineffective as a whole, but he was, unsurprisingly, a +1 on the evening. Anybody notice how he was in particular? I can't find how many minutes he played either.

Didn't watch any of the games, but he played 17:14 which was second among Russia's d-men.

I watched 2 periods and didn't hear his name once, but that's mostly because Ray Ferraro only wanted to talk about team Canada whenever Russia had the puck. #TSNcoverageforthewin
Pete Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Yeah, I found that frustrating as well -________-

torontonyr Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Sat behind the benches at the USA-RUS game and Z is huge. Lanky, but huge. Perhaps my favorite thing watching him was how engaged he was. Rather than being bent over or standing up - the kid typically sits on the bench ready to jump over. He's more into the game than any other player not on the ice, and perhaps even some of the coaches.

Pete Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Watching now... He just intentionally knocked the net off causing a penalty shout with 1:30 left in a one goal game lol.
Phil Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 :tweet: @MattCalamia: #NYR prospect @BigZborovskiy is now a plus-SIXTY on the season with @WHLPats. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Drew a Penalty Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Nice stat to have. Regina is stacked. +110 goal differential. Top scorers in the league on the team. Not to detract from Zborovskiy, but he's certainly benefiting from playing on a powerhouse. That's good for him, though. It should be a long season and that can't hurt development.
Drew a Penalty Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 Cooled off big time, but he's still a league leading +64. No points in his last 11 games. Just 5 points in his last 32 games.
Future Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Interesting. I think the bigger thing for him will be to keep that +/- high. It's not like he'd ever be a big point getter in the NHL anyways. Has team scoring gone down too?
Drew a Penalty Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 They haven't scored less than 3 goals as a team since February 18 so not really.
Long live the King Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Playoff Update: Regina leads series 3-0 Zborovsky has 2a and is +5 in 3 games
Long live the King Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Playoff update: Zborovsky 8 assists and +23 in 17 games will be facing Gropp 4 goals 7 assists 11 points in 10 games in the WHL Finals. Winner joins Day in the Memorial Cup.
Dunny Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Looks like he's had a good start in the ECHL. Hopefully he's ready to step up a level soon. With the logjam of mediocrity on D in Hartford he may have to be patient.
