Jules
http://wtc.gigapan.com/wtc/?xml=wtc.xml&view.hlookat=701.59&view.vlookat=15.35&view.fov=74.68#panorama Holy smoke. This is incredible. Not just the image itself, but how far you can turn and especially zoom. Have fun!
Morphinity 2.0
I can't look from that view without feeling incredibly sad. Too many bad memories.
Dave
Yeah, Gigapans are awesome. A DLR one only runs $1,000. You can get one for a small compact for just under $400.

I am Scags
What makes this super cool is the zoom feature. You can pick up locations from miles away. You look to the northeast and the northern shore of LI and can make out the 4 distinctive stacks of the Port Jefferson nuclear plant. You look to the southwest well beyond the Rt. 35 bridge over the Raritan and I can make out a hill past Princeton and near Trenton. Of course the view towards my home is blocked by the tower. Was this done by a drone?
Jules
If you zoom due south, you can clearly see the Coney Island Wonder Wheel and the old Parachute Tower.
