Phil
http://entertainment.time.com/2012/11/27/batman-rumors-joseph-gordon-levitt-as-next-caped-crusader/ According to Drew McWeeny at Hit Flix?or, rather, his anonymous source?Gordon-Levitt will ?absolutely? take on the role in the upcoming 2015 Justice League movie. Below contains "spoilers" from The Dark Knight Rises: The news is not that shocking. Even though the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight franchise is officially kaput, hints of Gordon-Levitt?s future were easy to see in this past summer?s The Dark Knight Rises. No, Gordon-Levitt didn?t play Bruce Wayne, but his character got a big reveal?his real first name is Robin, and he discovers the Batcave at the end of the film. The extent of Justice League?s connection to the Dark Knight universe is still unclear; a non-Wayne Batman might confuse some viewers, but it could be even more confusing to have one franchise?s Robin show up as another?s Batman. Patrick Bateman
I like how Wayne is among the best in the batman world at martial arts, and gives the batcave to someone who has no training at all. Robin's gonna get his shit pushed in
Rizz GAWD Lav No Cap FrFr
Well we wouldn't know what his training would be, or what he'd know, or what Wayne would have left him. That being said, he's a reach as batman to me.
Phil
I actually think the biggest hurdle here is size. No joke. Look at Levitt next to Bale in the movies. He's significantly smaller, and as a result, significantly less believeable as Batman IMO, who has historically always been portrayed as a rather muscular and large super hero. http://www.cinemablend.com/images/news/27605/New_Dark_Knight_Rises_Shots_Show_Christian_Bale_And_Joseph_Gordon_Levitt_NYC_1319834063.jpg
Kreiders Rider
I thought Levitt's character was suppose to be Robin, not Batman. Wtf?
RichieNextel305
I think the biggest issue is that Bale was probably the best Batman ever. He was unbelievable at it. Levitt is one of the best actors around right now, so I'm sure he'll do a good job. And he'll have to. Bale is not someone I'd like to be following up as far as being Batman goes, because that dude was incredible.
Pete
IIRC, Robin's name was never really "Robin", but Dick Grayson anyway. So the fact that JGL's name is "Robin" in the DK series really doesn't mean anything, and to add to it, Robin for a short time was Batman. There are 1,000 ways to tie up that loose end. And Phil, they might just give him booster boots. Michael KEaton is only 5-10, same height as JGL.

Fuhgeddaboudit
Don't really see Levitt as Batman. Not sure about other people. I guess his face in a mask, it's OK... but when he has his mask off, I can't see him coming off as Batman. We will see.
CreaseCrusader91
Dick Grayson as Batman was pretty scrawny, luckily it never came up in any Batman movie to date. Everyone will associate Batman with Bale because of the DK trilogy, so this was going to be a tough cast either way. I think they are trying to capitalize off the fan interest and curiousity generated from the ending of DKR.

Really tough to cast this one out.
quick release
Could be something to do with Nightwing perhaps.

Along with: They’re a long way from filming anything “Justice League” related, but they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do something. Johnnydollaz18
Saw a rumor that Johnny Depp may be The Joker in this film as well, what you guys think?
Phil
Saw a rumor that Johnny Depp may be The Joker in this film as well, what you guys think? Any doubts as to Depp being able to excel in that role, just go watch him perform in Sweeney Todd or any of his darker roles. He could absolutely pick up where Ledger is unable to keep up. RichieNextel305
As good as the whole Bane story turned out to be, I was kind of disappointed they opted to not use Depp as the Riddler, as had been reported earlier, in the finale of the Dark Knight trilogy. As it turns out, Hardy killed it as Bane and made him a memorable villain.
