NYR2711
And the first new Van Halen song with David Lee Roth in 24 years, and it is the shittiest song I have ever heard. [video=youtube;3WfQ-hV3WtA]
BleedzNYRBlue
I heard it on WCCC this morning. Not sure what I think about it yet. It might grow on me.
High and Wide
Oh god, :puke: I didn't even give the whole thing a listen. I guess I should be disappointed, I don't know why I got my hopes up in the first place.
Bluephoria
Must listen to 'Right Now' to get the bad flavor out of my mouth. That was terrible.
Niko
A buddy of mine said he liked it. I haven't listened yet. Youtube is blocked at work.

H-Dreamer
Song is blocked here, but I guess I wouldn't like it either. Back together for the money rarely makes good music.
Bluephoria
http://www.8bitbrigade.com/images/smilies/954-not-sure-if-serious.jpg Serious. I used to love the live version back in HS. I'm guessing you're one of those people that hated the Hagar years.
Niko
Van Halen, Van Halen II, Diver Down, Women and Children First, 1984. DONESKI. There IS no VH after that. Poundcake?!?! fuck outta here, man. lol.
BleedzNYRBlue
I love the Sammy Hagar years, as well as the Diamond Dave years. :)

High and Wide
Serious. I used to love the live version back in HS. I'm guessing you're one of those people that hated the Hagar years. Absolutely. Songs are just completely different to me.
Art Panarini
This actually could've gone a lot worse. I wouldn't regularly listen to it, but it's better then some of the Hagar.
Niko
The lyrics are awful. The groove is decent, Eddies sound is okay thru out some parts, killer on the solo. The solo is very good, when I close my eyes, I see VH during the solo, so that's a plus. The lyrics/theme is just doofy and awful.
NYRangers92
doofy and awful also describes David's dancing in the video. I think he might have RLS but at least Wolfgang seems to be moving around, which he barely did 5 years ago.

Old bands NEVER can relive the same kind of passion, lyrically, that they used to have. Too much perspective lost.

Reminds me of the tail end DLR solo stuff. His first album (Eat 'em and Smile) was delicious. Everything else sucked and the lyrics seemed to be written by a JHS student in an assisted learning program. I get the same vibe from these lyrics. BLEH. Patrick Bateman
It makes me laugh when people who are fans of band like Van Halen say that our generations music is shit. Do they even have ears?

BleedzNYRBlue
You know what's totally insane? Their concert tickets are going for $130.00 a piece! I would've paid that much to see them "back in the day", but not now.
NYR2711
Nah, it's not. There is tons of good shit out there, you just need to find it. Compare radio friendly music now to radio friendly music of the 80's and 90's and today's music is shit. I can't stand anything on the radio today, which is why I am glad I don't listen anymore to regular radio. Everything is auto tuned and the same beat over and over again.
