Phil
http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/the-projector/daniel-day-lewis-great-honest-abe-beard-going-234516174.html It was just over a year ago that it was announced that Daniel Day-Lewis would be the star of Steven Spielberg's Abraham Lincoln film. There's no question that the two-time Oscar-winner is an astonishingly gifted actor, but when you're playing a revered American president there will always be questions about whether you can do justice to a mythic figure in U.S. history -- especially when some people refuse to accept Day-Lewis in the role since he's English. But we think most folks will be willing to look past such minor issues after checking out this first photo of Day-Lewis sporting his beard for "Lincoln." You have to admit, the resemblance is pretty striking -- and rather presidential. http://l1.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/P5si8ChhQVuLYOiFxxwREg--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTYzMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en-US/blogs/theprojector/largelincoln.jpg

Greggy Gloom
He's gonna be amazing. This film is going to be an epic. I have a source on the cast who says the scenes they have filmed thus far are absolutely incredible. Side note, looking forward to the TV mini-series To Appomattox (2013) even more, with Stephen Lang as Lincoln. It's been really special getting to work for them, unofficially of course. NYRangers92
the cast for the movie is ridiculous. Day Lewis, Gordon Levitt, James Spader, Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Jackie Earle Haley

Greggy Gloom
I thought you hated Lincoln? I hate his presidency and politics. But as a husband and father, he was a fascinating individual.

Greggy Gloom
^ Clearly not a fan of the Emancipation Proclamation. Nope. And blacks shouldn't be either considering it did NOTHING for them.
I am Scags
Magnificent film! Daniel Day Lewis's performance goes without saying, but a brilliant cast that surrounded his performance. The vignettes, scenes, the dialogue, it simply was a masterpiece.
Fuhgeddaboudit
This was ridiculous... Went to go see wreck it ralph and then they said it was cancelled because they were having twilight show everywhere. I said , can we see Lincoln instead, and he said they weren't playing it either because of Twilight. wtf?
quick release
Hahaha now that's pretty indicative of our nation. Cancel Lincoln because the other Twilight theatre is full.
Art Panarini
That's actually upsetting. I hope when I go to see this movie that I don't have to suffer the same fate, because I will be fucking mad.
Fuhgeddaboudit
Hahaha now that's pretty indicative of our nation. Cancel Lincoln because the other Twilight theatre is full. The twilight lines were incredible. I couldn't believe my eyes. Oh well, our faults. Going to see what happens tonight with Skyfall tonight
I am Scags
I think my theatre may have suffered some from Twilight. As soon as I walked into the room for Lincoln I realized that it was playing in one of the smaller stadium theatres, less than half the size of a regular one. I can assume only it was pushed to that theatre to make room for all the teenaged girls watching twilight. I was a little perturbed to realize that given what a highly regarded film Lincoln was. Not only that we're talking about a movie that has the best actor of our time in it. Quick release is right; it truly is indicative of our nation today and the times.
