  2. I think him ending up in Hartford is more a cap thing, but yea. Smith's problem is that he's not instinctive enough for his athleticism. He's like Skjei in that sense. That's why he'll be mostly strong at defending the blueline and 1-1, but shit at making a first pass.
  3. Don't do a 180. Don't do anything. He is 20 years old, we don't know what he is lol.
  4. Really on the single player stuff? What games? I don't play much but that's mostly b/c I'm not big on online.
  5. I think Point is going to find that signing before some of these other guys is going to cost him a few million lol
  6. Well based on the article, he is ahead of Fox. Who knows how it will play out, but it's hard to imagine that Staal/ADA isn't the second pair come game 1. He didn't hold out long enough to warrant any type of demotion. Coaches, generally, respect the business side of things too.
  7. Community is criminally underrated, but it didn't have much staying power. The Office and Always Sunny I think are the two best sitcoms ever. I couldn't pick one.
  8. Well, of course it's a cash grab, that's how network TV works. Something starring half the cast could still be fairly funny - Andy, Dwight and Gabe alone can carry a lot of water - but they'd have a hard time capturing any of the original charisma. And besides that, they'd have to cover A LOT of ground to get any of the characters back in the office (heh). Who was even left at Dunder Mifflin? Dwight, Angela, Oscar, Erin and Gabe?
  9. I think Fox is third-pair, PP1 by like December. Basically Shattenkirk lol It's weird to think, but there's a decent chance that Trouba is their third-best RHD on the PP. He's got the hardest shot, but he hasn't looked particularly great at getting it through yet.
  10. Maybe, but I kind of doubt it. That structure works because of how good Kakko is at possessing the puck along the boards. Buch would be better served as the shooter - like Panarin - on the other side.
  11. There was a tweet somewhere that I can't find... Basically it said that the only difference between Eli and Joe Flacco is his last name and the NASCAR package lol
  12. It's the same PP the lightning use. Run it through Kucherov on the RW boards and have 3 different righty shooters for one-timers. From left to right - Panarin, Zib, Trouba = Stamkos, Point, Hedman. Puts a lot of pressure on Kakko, which I wouldn't have really expected right away, but he looked good in that role.
  13. Because using comparable players as reference points is how contracts work in sports. From ADA's perspective..."I'm better than Shattenkirk, I should get more money." This is fundamental in contract negotiations. Are you saying that Pionk is irrelevant too?
  14. I know it's a small sample, but I think McKegg and Boo can adequately handle any 4th-line duties that Namest/Strome might have. Those 4 are all pretty redundant with how the top-6 is shaking out, so I wonder if the delay in trading Namest/Strome was making sure other guys could replace them there. Yea, Fox was good. He actually looked bigger than I thought he was, too. I think it's only a matter of time before he's on PP1 instead of Trouba. Just looks a lot more natural in the OZ.
  15. Shatty missed like 5 games to injury last year, ADA was just way better.
  16. https://nypost.com/2019/09/12/rangers-and-tony-deangelo-seeking-contract-solution-to-avoid-holdout/ No, we don't know that they didn't offer $2m, but we can only go by what's out there. JD straight up said they weren't moving so it's doubtful that NYR has more than doubled their offer in the last 7 days.
  17. Laine's kind of a bitch for saying that, but, without knowing WPGs offer, I'm sure it's too low lol. He should be in line to surpass Draisaitl's number - 8.5 - even if it's a bridge.
  18. A contract lower than some ELCs (including Rykov and Lindgren) for a defenseman who scored 30 points and played 19:00/night is a lowball offer, period. Pionk got $3m and Shatty got $1.75m. How on Earth is $875k a fair offer?
  19. Yea, I'm more on the 4-year rule lol...12-16-18 (because it was free) and I just bought 20 but haven't had a chance to play yet. All the reviews on 20 that I've read have been pretty good in regards to gameplay.
  20. I didn't notice Hajek - which I guess is good - but Fox was the Rangers' best defenseman, by far.
  21. If they're lowballing him now, how would he have any better leverage at the end of this season? He's just going to get lowballed again. More likely, his numbers will decrease because he's not going to get PP time. He has no motivation to play right now, because he has no opportunity to improve his status this year. It's the Rangers who are screwing up, because they're just letting a talented, young asset sit and rot.
