  1. Laf plays 5v5 and very little PP. So, with that, 5v5 assist leaders: McUnicorn 49 Kucherov 39 MacKinnon 37 Draisaitl 33 … Trocheck 28 Panarin 23 Lafreniere 19 I would taper the expectations. And another round of applause to Trocheck for clearly doing elite work to compliment Panarin’s “shoot a lot” approach this year.

  3. Yep. We need those guys. Everyone rips on Trouba a lot, but it's clear he's better than Schneider. Same with Lindgren vs Miller/Jones/Gus defensively. It's not close.
  4. Tired of hearing about needing a win to clinch a playoff spot. Don't think they can manage that in the next 10 games? Who gives a fuck? Shut up about it. It doesn't mean anything tonight
  5. Jones cmon pal, been loving your game but that is some lazy ass shit
  6. The Kreider posts read like really bad AI at this point. Hysterical
  7. This should be Panarin's 4th 100 point season. He got absolutely robbed by not getting a full 82 game seasons in the last 5 years during his prime.
  8. Well, he's had linemates who have created more goal scoring opportunities for him in exchange. Converting everything Panarin would be awesome, but that's akin to saying if he were playing with other 80-90 point players he'd have more points. OK, of course he would, and if Laf were playing with McDavid instead of Panarin he'd have 50 goals ala Zach Hyman. This POV runs both directions. I still think Tro and Laf deserve some credit for generating offense too. Countless times they have forced turnovers by getting in on the forecheck, and then they have the talent to hang enough with Panarin. I don't understand why we have to focus on the "faults" of the non-Panarin players on the line, instead of just recognizing and enjoying that the line is just pretty awesome.
  9. Right. In addition, I think a year without Strome kind of clued Panarin in that he had become content being too east/west pass happy, and that kind of style just didn't work well enough with Trocheck. They weren't bad together, but it just wasn't as magical as everyone thought it might be - like this year. I'm generally tough on Drury, but I have to give full marks to him for making the switch to Trocheck. It was not an easy move to make. Full marks to Panarin for adapting his game, too. Whether he thought he'd be back with Trocheck again, or whenever he found out he'd be paired with Chytil out the gate, it doesn't matter. Trocheck and Chytil both play a N/S, carry/get the puck deep and get control in the OZ kind of game. Laffy very similar to that too. Panarin had to adjust and he did. I am cautiously optimistic that Trocheck and Lafreniere will keep Panarin honest in the playoffs. If he's fading on the perimeter too much again, Tro and Laf might be able to reel him back in with the kind of game they both play.
  10. Trocheck was good last year. Worth the contract AAV, but left a question if he’d be worth the length of it. This year he’s been great and worth significantly more than the contract AAV, which alleviates some concern about the contract length. As great as Panarin has been, I think anyone watching the games sees Trocheck (and Laf) are doing more than just riding coattails. I think Panarin can thank them for the helping hand in achieving a career year.
  11. It was never a conversation. You clearly had an agenda and you tipped your hand.
  12. As I was typing it I was like “this gonna be a Glider softball for somebody” lmao
