  1. Kreider also creates a lot of goals by planting his ass in front of the opposing goalkeeper. I've seen this team go years without having a player that did that. It was a problem from when Adam Graves was traded up until Kreider made his debut. lol
  2. It seemed like he really wanted to stay and be a part of the process here, so I'm not too surprised he re-signed. I think $6 million for 6 years would have been better, though.
  3. Then there's next year's $6 million cap hit from Shattenkirk to deal with too.
  4. Does this basically mean we can kiss Fast, ADA and Lemieux goodbye? They already didn't have much cap space to work with anyway.
  5. The AAV is actually good, maybe one year too many. The car accident is far worse news.
  6. SHesterkin is hurt, so the run is basically over. Why re-sign Kreider then?
  7. Shesterkin hurt, so the run is over. Why re-sign Kreider then?
  8. This is one day where I wish Twitter wasn't blocked at work. I can't see anything. lol
  9. Two boobs are better than one boob behind the bench.
  10. I think it's something regarding Lundqvist whether it's a trade, retirement, what have you. That's really the only thing that warrants a press conference.
  11. A Peter Forsberg clone is rumored to be a part of the deal.
  12. That's a nice return for Ottawa. They have three first round picks this year now.
  13. Anything is possible with the Rangers. If they can put a guy like Eddie Giacomin on waivers, they can trade Lundqvist. Stranger things have happened, but I'm still not expecting it.
  14. They could definitely be competitive next year for sure. But the season after with Henrik's money off the book's, Staal's, and Shattenkirk's $6 million-plus cap hit gone, they can really make some moves. Hopefully Brendan Smith will be gone too. So, while I wouldn't rule out next season for taking another step, that extra flexibility is just crucial at really re-loading and bringing in some more talent. They just have to manage the dead weight for another season.
  15. That's good. Original Six brotherhood! Although, it might not be like that in all the other cities towards the Rangers and their fans, especially Boston. lol
  16. The death knell last season seemed to be trading Zucc. That move seemed to have the most negative affect, especially on Hank. You could really see the team totally lost even without playing a game. This year there isn't that or a McDonagh in year's past, etc. Not that trading Kreider and more wouldn't do the same to this year's team, though. It's a tough call. Maybe they keep Kreider, but that probably means losing DeAngelo, Fast, etc.
