  1. It seems like he's the best rookie in the league that no one is talking about. Maybe it's just me.
  2. That was one of the best Rangers' goal celebrations I've ever seen. Everyone just lost their shit and mobbed Buch. lol About the game, I think going in you would have signed for a loser point, but this was such a winnable game. A couple of close calls there in overtime before Colorado won it.
  3. Panarin really should've shot on that 2 on 1. Too bad on the post with Mika, that was another missile.
  4. An Ozzy reference for Ozzy regarding the Playoff Train: ALLLLL ABOOOOAAARRRRDDDD!!!! HAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!
  5. The Fox trade and Zibanejad trade top tier trades in Rangers history a couple of years apart. IN GORTON WE TRUST.
  6. A great future on defense and Shesterkin looks like he's already in his prime. GET HYPED.
  7. Does Shesterkin play every game from here on out? Georgiev MAYBE gets two starts, tops.
  8. It might be unfair to say it ended their season, since they're still very much alive, but that home loss to New Jersey was just brutal.
  9. Earlier in the season the Rangers were playing seemingly one or two games a week. Now they're playing almost every day. lol Absurd schedule this year.
  10. Tomorrow night will be even worse, 10:00 PM. Extra coffee the next day at work for sure.
  11. He's going to be out a few weeks with a fractured ankle.
  12. This upcoming road trip made the Devils loss at home that much worse.
  13. Good to know. I actually thought about finally re-subscribing to The Hockey News as well. For awhile there it was kind of ugly financially for me, but not anymore, so I might as well do that also. I kind of missed reading it and getting the yearbook and all that stuff.
  14. That's a nice piece! I'm sure he's raring to go. I can't wait until Lundqvist comes over too. That could be next year as well, no?
  15. The Athletic is a paid site, isn't it? I don't have access to it. I'm thinking that's what it is, though, because he never gave off that impression of being lazy or having an attitude problem.
  16. The Rangers have had the best goalie goalie coach in the league for a long time. It's obviously helped Lundqvist, but look at what it did for guys like Talbot and Raanta when they were here. Shesterkin does look like the real deal and the organization is lucky they can lose a guy like Lundqvist but transition right into a new era with someone who looks like he could be great too.
  17. Yeah, I mean, he could still be back next season easily with a Georgiev trade and all this talk could be for nothing. lol We will have to wait and see. But, dealing with an aging superstar and franchise legend in any sport is not an easy thing to do. There can be bad blood about how things are handling and egos and can boil over. That has not happened thankfully, which again, is a testament to him.
  18. As a fan, it's definitely not the story book send off we wanted. But, he still loves the organization and he still loves the fans through all of this and that's all that matters. If he hangs it up, or plays for another team, which will suck, he's going to have his day here where there's a banner with his name on it in the Garden ceiling.
  19. I really hope this is more of a thing being "bored" with college level of play and not signs of attitude and work ethic problems in the future. Hopefully Hartford will reinvigorate him and he can get his game together at the professional level.
  20. Who knew if Shesterkin was really even ready to go the other day, but that's just how much they don't want to start Lundqvist. He was relegated to mop up duty. Not making the playoffs isn't a failure by any stretch, but they do want to go get in, and they believe Lundqvist not playing is going to help. I will give him a ton of credit, though. Obviously he's not happy about it, but he's handled it like a pro. He hasn't made a scene and bitched and moaned to the media. He's still genuinely happy for Georgiev's and Shesterkin's success and wants to see them and the team do well. But, this is totally eating him up inside.
  21. Traditionally the Rangers have almost always been very strong in goal. Yeah, there have been some transitional years where there weren't some great ones. Although, Mike Dunham was fantastic his first year here and almost got that team into the playoffs. But, we've been pretty fortunate to have had the goaltending we've had. Even going way back to the likes of Dave Kerr and Lorne Chabot who I think both should be in the Hall of Fame.
