  1. It wouldn't surprise me if he does well with New Jersey, but of course, I really hope not. :p No matter, it just didn't work out here, and it's obviously the right move. Oh, and, HOCKEY NEWS!!?!?! AMIRITE!!?!?!
  2. So, with baseball getting geared up to start playing by the end of July, does anyone expect hockey to follow suit? I could see them getting started too to get more sports on television and even more revenue going. It seems like almost all of the sports want to start back up with a target date at the end of July. I'm not a basketball fan, but they had a plan in place to finish off the regular season and start the playoffs too, no?
  3. On the Rangers' Instagram they've had some players come on and say some things about the team, so that was neat. I get that '94 was big for this franchise, so I'm not going to shit all over a time where my favorite team was successful. But, I do wish they would at least move on a little bit in the sense that they are seemingly doing something every year to honor the team. It's a bit much when the team is really making a push at being a contender and building a successful foundation for some (hopefully) long term success. Do some more features on these guys, do some more things with JD who is now back in the fold here. There's so much more they could do, especially during the summer months without being the '94 team to the forefront.
  4. To his credit, though, he wasn't that bad at this, that, and the other thing, though. But, point taken. On a side note: Head coaching gig or not, just get him out of here!
  5. On the Rangers' website awhile back there was an article about Zibanejad's and Panarin's production. It said that the team really hasn't had two players put up points like this since the 1996-97 season with Gretzky and Messier. It was interesting. As great as Jagr was back in 2005-2006, he didn't have another player put up a crazy amount of points. I mean, Nylander was very good with him, but not to this extent.
  6. I hope so, because they could really use a smarter player just like Lemieux. If he could become even half the player his dad was, that would be great. lol
  7. I hope so, because if he does smarten up, he can be extremely useful. I just wonder sometimes. Last night was just really reckless and foolish, even for him.
  8. For sure. Hopefully he's at least scratched the next game. It's not like his hockey skills are great either. Will he get better as he gets a bit older and "matures"? Doubtful.
  9. We still have Miller and Lundqvist waiting in the wings too. It's too bad about Rykov and Hajek, though. But, we'll see with them.
  10. Fair enough. But when you have a team with a budding talent like that, why not harp? lol It is still surprising that a rookie starring in New York being rather low key, but again, I know what you mean. We're lucky to have him.
  11. It seems like he's the best rookie in the league that no one is talking about. Maybe it's just me.
  12. That was one of the best Rangers' goal celebrations I've ever seen. Everyone just lost their shit and mobbed Buch. lol About the game, I think going in you would have signed for a loser point, but this was such a winnable game. A couple of close calls there in overtime before Colorado won it.
  13. Panarin really should've shot on that 2 on 1. Too bad on the post with Mika, that was another missile.
  14. An Ozzy reference for Ozzy regarding the Playoff Train: ALLLLL ABOOOOAAARRRRDDDD!!!! HAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!
  15. The Fox trade and Zibanejad trade top tier trades in Rangers history a couple of years apart. IN GORTON WE TRUST.
  16. A great future on defense and Shesterkin looks like he's already in his prime. GET HYPED.
  17. Does Shesterkin play every game from here on out? Georgiev MAYBE gets two starts, tops.
  18. It might be unfair to say it ended their season, since they're still very much alive, but that home loss to New Jersey was just brutal.
  19. Earlier in the season the Rangers were playing seemingly one or two games a week. Now they're playing almost every day. lol Absurd schedule this year.
  20. Tomorrow night will be even worse, 10:00 PM. Extra coffee the next day at work for sure.
