You really can't underestimate how gross, and poor Manitoba is. Imagine Alberta and Sask had no natural resources, and that's what Manitoba is. I really have no idea what they were thinking bringing a team back to Winnipeg, other than thinking the Thompsons would just float it indefinitely.

Canada is full of dirty, poor, depressing, brutalist soviet style locales, it's actually mostly this, but Manitoba is the undisputed king.

Nobody touches him. He just does what he wants. A player like that has carte blanche in today's game. He should score 75. He's absolutely the perfect goal scoring machine for basketballized hockey.

100% chance he knew exactly what he was doing. That's simply indisputable. 

I don't hate the guy for doing it, that takes massive balls, and he enjoyed every minute of it, even the cross check. Good for him. I want more guys like that. He achieved the best possible outcome (Iced game and Rielly suspended) for a pound of flesh. This is the way in this sport. That's why it's great. 

Yeah, he needs to be very Foxy. It's a hard skill to master, though. (Deception). It can come with a lot of growing pains. I listen to a lot of coaching podcasts, and coaches seem to be on the fence with developing that skill, having to balance it with not turning the puck over 20 times a night.

It was a perfect transaction.

I'm 100% sure Greig got exactly what he wanted out of it.

I like this Greig guy, now, too after watching that whole game. It's so much fun having a guy like that on your team.
