  1. Yup. Guys like Nik who never have to use their hands for anything other than opening the occasional pickle jar can gab all they like about the "oddity" of owning and carrying tools like these, but everyone i've ever convinced to buy one has never left home without it — especially if they work in an industry that requires them to do things like that.

Which tool are you talking about? Could make for a good father's day gift. My dad is quite the handyman and he would go nuts over something like that.

  2. there is nothing effeminate about wearing a messenger bag to work.... as long as you don't wear it like a purse.

Would it make you feel better if it was in camo, Phil? lol

You'd look like a psycho vietnam vet... would suit you well!

    This man knows the deal.

Yup. If I could wear shorts and a sleeveless shirt every day, trust me, I wouldn't have half the complaints I do, but working at a job that requires men wear pants, it just makes the summer that much worse, especially when you actually have to carry more than just a cell phone and shitty pair of headphones to and from work every day.

Where, exactly, am I supposed to carry headphones, a phone, a key ring, wallet, money, an ID card, external hard drive, flash drive, etc. on my person if I'm not wearing a coat with multiple pockets (another reason I love winter)?

    Messenger bag, brah.

Thanks! It's a paid internship and orientation is in the city which is about a 40 min drive to the train station and about an hour and a half train ride to Grand Central. Luckily most of the time I will be working in different office in Sleepy Hollow.

That is a brutal commute, but if you're doing it it must be worth your time. Best of luck to you! :)

  5. My first day of work is in 1 week and it's in the city. It's going to be a long commute, I'm nervous already

Congrats on the new job! My girlfriend works in the city as well. It's about a 50 minute commute for her. She says after a month or so you don't even notice it but it can be tiring.
