  1. Loved virtually every aspect of that game particularly the third period. Absolutely worth respect. I will say, the atrocious officiating in the NHL has reached entirely new levels and is looking to only get worse in the coming years as some of the veteran officials begin to retire. In last nights game I positive neither side had any clue what a penalty was and what was not. That’s a sign of terrible officiating.
  2. Quinn effect in full effect. No one ever plays defense in any game he coaches!
  3. This is a game this team loses 10 out of 10 times last year. Love the grit in the third and love how the battled back and got this win. Really impressed with this team!
  4. Statement game here fellas. It’s time to start taking this team seriously!
  5. Sure but every NHL season will have issues. The fact is the Rangers continue to win games even down their number one starter and multiple key pieces to the roster. I’d argue that speaks to how great Lavi’s systems are and how great some guys like Panarian have played.
  6. And yet they are basically the best team record wise in the NHL. Can we save the issues until they actually are issues?
  7. Was at this game live. Got to say, Laffy was feeling it all night. By far the best I’ve ever witnessed him play in person. This team is rolling!!
  8. 100% my thoughts. Wheeler is terrible, slow and never going to be the actual solution for a top 6 forward. I'm confident Othmann may not be NHL ready but if they are trying to find an NHL top 6 forward, Othmann has a much better chance to fill that role than Wheeler.
  9. Because he's slow and it seems like his skills are not really translating in top 6 opportunities. In order to be a major point producer he's going to need to play in the top 6 and so far through 10 games he's destroyed the line.
  10. Yeah he is 100% a 3rd line plugger at this point. I don't see him being any more than that based on his skills alone.
  11. Mica is really no where to be found mat games. Without his powerplay time I don’t think he’s had an impactful game all year. Most games he’s coasting, looks disengaged and honestly not like the impactful player he has been in the past. I can’t help but wonder/suspect that the anchor on his wing known as Kappo has a lot to do with this but it’s time for Mica to figure this out!
  12. Agreed. And considering he was just signed to an extension it’s not looking like a great contract if the guy can’t stay healthy. So far he’s shown no ability to stay healthy really at any point in his career.
  13. The team defiantly seems to be playing more as one unit so far this season. It’s also evident based on their commitment to the system and how willing they are to stick to the process.
  14. I've been a pretty outspoken critic of Laf on other sites in past years but I have to be honest- he's looked considerably better this year. Each game so far he's made some sort of contribution either offensively, defensively or in some physical way. I really think we are watching him at his best right now. Whether this is his best overall remains to be seen. I think the possibility is we can actually expect some point production from him this year-- which would be even better. It looks like he's finally begun to settle into his role and that speaks positively towards the Rangers making strides this year.
  15. My God- Phil DiGiueseppi is on the second line for Vancouver???…. I remember when he was not good enough to make the “rebuild” years teams.
  16. By far the best start to a season Laf has had-- I mean he's noticeable, impactful and accumulating points What else do we need?
  17. Maybe the time change will help since they no showed last game maybe the later start will actually make them ready for the first…
  18. A pleasure to already be in the top 25! Just joined like a week ago
  19. I’ve wondered this too. If this core goes through 3 coaches in basically 6 years then yes I do think the core is the problem. The real issue is, and I can’t say what the locker room is like obviously, but the team collectively has 0 personality to it. Each of the “core” comes across as boring and unlikable way more often than they instill a sense of “I love that guy.”
  20. Back to the bottom 6 for Laf- only took 4 games( or exactly as long as every other time he was given top 6 minutes earlier in his career.)
  21. Yeah it’s really becoming evident that speed is not a strength of this group.
  22. Is it fair to conclude that this team is just really slow? Like Nashville is pressuring them all over but I actually think that’s more a result of the Rangers being unable to skate with speed more so than how effective Nashville is.
  23. It honestly looks that way. I mean the energy level is just not there or anywhere close to it!
  24. I saw more energy from our 80 year old president who just flew to Israel than this team. What a mess!
  25. Country club atmosphere in full effect. Looks like a men’s league no check game out there.
