Well that was certainly a fantastic opener, all areas of the team looked good. I am worried about Chytil's longevitiy to be totally honest, he is rag dolled like every game. We will see.

Can anyone confirm if Chytil is actually alive?

Gotta be honest, the entire team blows. I know its preseason but they just look flat out lifeless and bad. We may need an honest rebuild and start fresh.

Devils for me. On a personal level. I was mercilessly bullied in high school by two devils fanatics, it went way beyond hockey and made life very hard. I even got pushed down the stairs when they won the cup in 2000-2001 just because I had a Rangers patch on my bookbag. Even 20 years later I still get a knot in my stomach when I even see their logo. I get bitter because I associate those bad people gettint every time they devils win.

All jokes aside, give the kid a chance. He was the consensus 1st overall so there is something there. Also, not that I am in anyway comparing him to Jack Hughes but look the the leap he made this year from people calling him a total bust to a generational talent. Leaps can happen.

Lavi is going to keep the seat warm and right the ship while we groom Muse for takeover. That doesnt mean we wont have success or a stanley cup, but I see Dan Muse as the future and the future will be bright despite some recent gloom.

Kakko will go 30/45 and hit 75 points. Chytil will go 25/50 and hit 75 points

Honestly I know life isnt a movie, but a part of me hopes all the radio silence around Laff is really just him living out in the wilderness somewhere and getting absolutely ripped with 80's music playing over a montage as he practices skating around some homemade ice rink. Then he shows up to camp absolutely jacked, ripping 100mph slapshots while skating like lightning. But reality sets in and he's probably just a pub drinking, smoking and talking about how he was a 1st overall pick to impress some day shift bartender that has 5 kids with 5 different Dad's.

Thought I’d jump in and say hi Dad here myself. 4 year old daughter and son is 2 in October. Quite a handful but great kids and we have a lot of fun. The only war is telling them its bedtime, they dont like it lol I would love to expose them to playing hockey. A few times I played highlights on the TV and they had a blast. I wonder how I can get them playing. Maybe a simple net in the driveway and some kid sticks

I just want one cup in my adult life, I was only 9 when they won in 1994. Sure I was a hockey fan and was excited but nowhere near the awareness and fan I am now. Please hockey gods, give us one cup and i’ll be cool with 10 years of mediocrity. I still maintain we should have had two cups during Hank’s tenure, and also last year. But thats just me being greedy.

And if nobody failed at developing Filip Chytil thats the same nobody that failed at developing Vitali Kravstov. And if nobody failed at developing Vitali Kravstov thats the same nobody that failed at developing Kaapo Kakko. And if nobody failed at developing Kaapo Kakko thats the same nobody that failed at developing Alexis Lafreniere. Thats a lot of nobody’s out there and nobody minds if nobody drafts another bust.
