  1. I keep asking myself, how could the scouting be so wrong on this guy ? J.D. was giddy with the prospect of getting him. What were they looking at ?
  2. Dont want to hijack this thread.
  3. Who did that? And thanks for telling me what I dont care about. How about fair play ? Or do you not care about that . Thats what isnt right . Nothing political about that.
  4. Sure is. Imagine being a female having to compete against a male. Just isnt right.
  5. I can tell you cross ice passes from 10 to 88 is not going to beat them .
  6. Looks like even if we get it together, nobody is getiting past Boston if they play their game.
  7. Panarin is not a winning player. Great skill, not smart though. How many times do you have to try that east west shit before you realize it does not work .
  8. Dreaming here, anyway they can sign him ? Restructuring some deals ? The potential here is huge, maybe some guys with the big contracts agree to spread the money out .
  9. You honestly think the Garden has 8k people a night that identify as LGBTQ ? If thats the case , then why the need for a night to promote the league as LGBTQ friendly ? It would seem pretty well accepted if almost half of your audience is LGBTQ.
  10. Even with NYS having a reported 7.9% LGBTQ identity , that would mean about 2200 fans out of 18K. That assumes the general population of hockey fans are represented equally . I would bet not.
  11. If it was just that easy . 20+ years with the company. Approaching retirement. Not going to make an issue out of something like that. But like I said, go along to get along. Her company has zero to do with gay rights. Whatever that means. I still dont see any anti LGBT laws or policies anywhere . I am talking about today. The world we live in today. Her company also had BLM events and racial injustice training. It is all nothing but virtue sigmaling. It buys them social currency. They have zero POC in management . Pete, you are a smart man, you have to see that companies do these things for a reason. It is not to get LGBT fans. It's purchasing currency in the community.
  12. Society is governed by politicians. How can you separate them ? Of course its political. Forcing someone to support something you do not want to celebrate is North Korean , Maoist level crazy. You WILL support our cause or you will be punished. Do you think he is the only one who didnt want to wear it ? They go along to get along. Not worth the trouble that comes with resisting. I just do not understand the need to do this. I do not see anything anywhere that is anti LGBT. All I see is things like this . My wife's work email had a rainbow flag added to her signature for the month of June. She did not ask for that. It's being forced upon us. Just let people be, all sides.
  13. They also risk losing more fans than they attract. It's a hot button issue. Why not just stick to hockey. No pun intended.
  14. I get that, but that issue is very political. Cant avoid that part of it.
  15. My question is what is the league trying to accomplish by making the players wear the jerseys ? To me it is just virtue signallng. Again my opinion, but why does the NHL need to get involved in anything resembling politics. I watch sports to escape the crazy politics we are forced to live with every day.
  16. First post. While I'm not against a coaching change, how about a players only meeting called by our new captain. Show some leadership and right the ship.
