FUCK MAN, I KNEW IT. I - KNEW - IT. I was sensing someone would die, it was very blatant, and it had to be Robb. There was a DEAD giveaway earlier in the season, when one of them said about marrying his wife that he had lost the war when he did. The way that comment was so painstakingly focused on in the shot and that scene, I knew once the problems started to arise that it was going to be Robb. I did expect that Catelyn would survive and obviously Arya would. Most of all, I'm really bummed a storyline just ended the way it did. It was just... so out of the blue. I am not sure I felt it was more shocking than Ned's death, because at the time of Ned's death I was stunned to see a top character go. By now, I was expecting it.

I can't wait for the US soccer fans to think they are actually good beating a German B-side. :o

Aw yeah. Ran a presentation and wine tasting for 130 people today and everything went as planned, despite having to take care of it with just two people, instead of the usual three for a group that size. Lots of praise from the group who hired us. We were recommend to them by someone else, which is always good. So, that's one down for the week, three more big things to go.

Kind of a nervous week. I mind be wrapping up my masters thesis officially and if all goes well our family business could have its best week ever.

I am still stunned about E7, but I am not surprised the ratings are up. The show has been very strong lately and a lot of people I know who hate violence in shows watch for the amazing dialogue. My fiancee doesn't enjoy the violent, hard scenes at all, but she's an avid follower of the show now and it's mainly because of the strong conversations and exceptional character development. And what I'm starting to hate/love is how torn I'm getting about the treatment of characters. I hate Theon, but oh boy is that tough to watch, I hated Melisandre and she's been amazing lately, I used to like Arya and now I think she's too stubborn, I used to like Robb and now I think he's been extremely clumsy and naive and I have no idea what to make of Jon Snow anymore.

Ha. That'd be so sick. Let's make it to the team, then the World Cup, World Champs and just Olympian first. :cool:

She's not there yet. It's very close, and she's been basically been a "top 3 draft pick" for a while now - if I had to explain it in hockey terms - but there's only one team. She's won and done a lot as a club rower and the national team is basically the final step. It would be so awesome, but I won't cheer until she gets the call. The call could come this week. Or the next. Or by the summer. It's a nerve-wrecking process for those on the outside.

I guess it's safe to share now: if all goes well and chances are decent, Grace (my fiancee) could make the US women's national rowing crew this year. They train out of the Princeton and Lake Mercer boathouses. So, yeah, we'll be there for sports anyway and great college hockey is awesome. It's a neat place and there's a train to Penn Station.

That's a really nice area and close to Newark Airport as well. Grace might get the news this week or the next to start looking for a place in northern Mercer County. It's gonna be damn expensive.

My first trip to the US was 10 days with a friend who lived in Florham Park, just past the airport. That seems close to where you are, Pete?

The Vatican is damn little though. It's like a quarter of Central Park at best. There's the church, the square, some apartments, a garden, a museum and a library. Such a weird place too. It's neat though.

There was an obvious ;), no? I get the metaphor, it's just that the nicest part of Rome is actually right outside the Vatican. :D

Fortuna Sittard fails to advance to second round of play-offs. A huge disappointment, as we miss out on back-to-back games against our top league archrival who we haven't played in 12 years. Oh well, still a great year.
