  1. Yeah. He should make it. He should do at least another season there. He'll have Turcotte and Caufield joining him next season and that should make for an exciting team.
  2. Lindberg spent three post draft seasons in Sweden and then another two in Hartford. Fast spent 3 years in Sweden and a half season in Hartford. Sweden is great at continued development. He'll come when he's ready. D tend to take longer.
  3. No need to rush him. I'd prefer he gets three years minimum. He's fortunate that the Rangers don't have a lot of right-handed defensemen, but you still have a bunch, in general, coming in with Lindgren, Hajek, and Rykov within the next two seasons in addition to what's already around.
  4. Some teams have size restrictions. That's why I say "smaller."
  5. Really nice addition. He's on the "smaller" side but that doesn't mean he's an offensive type. He's a two-way defender in the very sense of the word. Is just smart and calm. Won't wow you with his offense but he can distribute because he's that smart. Really solid defensively for a young kid playing in the SHL. There's a reason why he was considered the best J20 defenseman despite Boqvist lighting up for a near point per game. Lundkvist actually plays defense. Boqvist sometimes does. He's probably around 3-4 years out, but that's okay given the glut of Ranger defensemen in the same age group.
  6. That 6'4" isn't right unless he somehow grew in another inch in a month since the combine and EliteProspects somehow got that measurement. He was 6'2.8" at the combine so 6'3". Still, he has great size potential if he fills out his frame. He knows how to use his reach to his advantage. He's not a burner, but he can move his feet. He's just not a pretty skater like Hughes.
  7. My mistake on that, but still. As a first-year pro scout in the organization. Look up any account. Renney thought he had his man.
  8. Gordie wasn't even in the organization for Jessiman. That was a Tom Renney pick.
  9. I agree. Only suitable routes are KHL or AHL and it might be better to keep him where's he comfortable for longer. No need to rush him. He'll continue to get minutes in Russia.
  10. I'll do my own personal write-up on Kravstov, but I love the pick. Unfortunate as it may be to pass up on Wahlstrom's shot, Kravtsov has loads of talent. He's both a capable scorer and playmaker. Came alive during the playoffs for his KHL team after being given more ice time. Played both PP and PK. Torts would've loved him. Skill guy who will do the little things like block shots.
  11. Yep. Also worth noting that he expressed in combine interviews that he'd be open to playing in the CHL if that's the route his drafting team wanted. Would be a backward step for him, though.

  15. And Lafreniere carried a team in the Q as a 16-year-old. Byfield has a lot of promise. But there's a reason Lafreniere is regarded by so many so early as being the number one. He's a talent that's hard to find.

  17. Yeah, I'll take the kid that's already putting up 80 in the Q.
  18. Yeah, no. Given his performance despite his surroundings he only found success. He's had to adjust to another professional level. Tambellini hasn't been able to make it at that level for several seasons now. They're not remotely in the same situation despite being similar in age. Some players develop later. Lettieri has yet to show signs of being unable to play a higher level
  19. Yep. Between the blow to his head a while back and prep for the WJC, they're just trying to keep him healthy.
  20. He was a total product of Barzal. The numbers always showed it.
  21. He wasn't particularly good and was given chances to succeed. Mostly spent time as a bottom-six player despite Hartford not having particularly good depth. His talent just didn't particularly translate because he's not particularly good at one thing. Granted, he was only 19 and transitioning from larger ice, but it's not the performance you'd like. His defensive game wasn't good enough to make up for his inability to produce. Let's see how he does with a clean slate. I wouldn't call him a failure yet just not much more than a utility player if he makes it.
  22. I'm in. This isn't about to be a date though.
