As the playoffs go on, he's prone to physical breakdown. Playing every other night will hopefully speed that process along, but you have to make him work for it.
Kreider, Cullye, Lafreniere need to provide traffic and force him to be physically active.
I’ve also heard he has “tic tac wang.”
Its a malady common amongst Russians… due to all the Colombian Bam Bam

Barely +.900 SV% and a GSAX of 2.6 is pedestrian. A week ago his SV% dipped to .892.
Bobrovsky’s playoff numbers are pretty ordinary throughout his career. And there have been some series in there that have been real clunkers, TBH.
Hes a threat if he gets hot. But all in all, he historically hasn’t been all that good.

Nedved went to Pittsburgh and immediately had a 45 goal, 99 point season. The very best of his career.
Obviously being in the same lineup as Lemieux, Jagr, and Ron Francis helped.
But the talent was there and that season it came out full bore

I know the kid wants to play but if there is one team and situation in the league that is just too risky for Filip Chytil and his concussion history I think it is the Florida Panthers in the playoffs.
I hope I am wrong but I think that this team as a matter of general principles is going to hit anything that moves and if they get down I have zero doubts that they are fine with late hitting/dirty hitting their way to a win. I am concerned that Chytil is not ready for that and may never be ready for that.
Totally valid.
But we are going to worry about him no matter what for the rest of his career given the history he now has.

Kreider definitely does not wear a blue dress.
You’re saying he’d look better in another color?

As good as McDavid was last night, and he was outstanding, Bouchard was the best player on the ice I thought.
Kid played a fantastic game .

Rousing success in '79 but not ultimate success.
I meant as an Executive
Not as a player

St Louis? I'm not sure.
He’s had some success, kind of, everywhere, but no real rousing or ultimate success anywhere.

Maybe there’s a reason he’s not. I don’t think we’ll ever know the truth to what really went down during those firings.
What success, real success, has JD really had in an executive role?

Messier thought Zubov and Needed were soft. Mess basically bullied Nedved to the point where he was throwing up before games.
Keenan wanted Gartner gone for the same reason, didn't think he had what it took for the playoffs. Meanwhile Anderson had like five points during the Cup run, or something unimpressive like that.
Anderson was an empty sweater in this playoffs for the most part. He was done by then.
And let’s not forget he took that atrocious penalty for slashing with less that 3 minutes to go in Game 6 in NJ that gave the Devils a late PP and a chance to tie up a 3-2 game.

Oh, so it was mostly Keenan that wanted Gartner gone, or both he and Mess? Either way, both of those guys fucked several players over. I will never not be okay with Gartner not being a part of that Cup team.
Mess wasn’t a huge fan, but Keenan absolutely couldn’t stand Gartner or players like Gartner in general.

What about Zubov? First 3 years as a ranger, 156 points in 165 games.
Leading scorer in the regular season in the Cup year too.

Boston would conceivably be the easier matchup.
Florida would be very tough

They were all coin-flip games. All of them were a 1 goal game going into the 3rd except for the last one.
And that’s a fair POV too.

Carolina wasn't a fraud. They were pretty much as expected except on the PP the first few games.
They just weren't prepared to face a foe that can score at will when the game is on the line.
Yeah.
They lost what amounts to at least 2, perhaps even 3, coin flip kind of games.

I might be the only 1 on here who's glad the game is tomorrow. I have my first game of the finals tonight at 8:00.
Mongolian Dick Wrestling Finals?
World Series of Cock Fighting?
Help me out here.

It may be PTSD from last year, which I understand. Until this group proves they can stand up to adversity in the playoffs, those questions are going to exist unfortunately. If they come out swinging tomorrow and deliver a knockout blow to a Hurricanes team that most of the hockey world orgasms over seemingly daily, that would go a long way in silencing the doubters; some of which exist in this fanbase.
Need to jump out the way we did in Game 1 and really have them chasing.
I understand the doubt.
But this is a team that’s responded well to that all year.
Be hopeful.

All accurate. Average at best is probably the best way to put it. lol Overall disappointing. We're not getting the guy we paid for consistently, even though he is kind of overpaid anyway. But still, I expected better from the player regardless.
He’s always been overpaid.
And was always going to be.
By how much was always the question.
$8 million D-men need to be minute eating players who put up points and play to a consistently high level in all situations, vs and with top players.
Hes not that.
That contract SHOULD have come in at around $6 million or a shade above.
In reality, he’s actually worth less than that.
Gorton just went too high when he had all the negotiating leverage.

Will you guys just elope already…?
Please???
For the good of the realm.
Its essential.
Just go for a drive together… get a motel room… split a gallon of brandy… hang out in bathrobes… put the Patrick Swayze Road House on, and see what develops.
If you want to go to an Air Supply concert together, that ok too.
It wouldn’t hurt.
