Officer Rempe on one knee at the red line, just waiting for trouble to start. Maybe someone should tell him it's only warmups.

Very concerned that the GDT title doesn't have teeth anywhere in it. Kind of seems like futzing with the mojo.
Right. If the last one was the "most teethiest," what are we left with?

Interesting that both Florida and Carolina blew their clinch games yesterday, leaving NYR with the opportunity to be the only one of the 8 1st round series to sweep. That said, not a lock by any means. The Caps are going to want to goon it up to reassert themselves, but they're dead if they make too many trips to the box. Pressure is all on them.
Sprung for the lower section (was not super pricey), so I'll be up close and personal.

In Game 3 I came to see why the rest of the league is suffering from Rempe Derangement Syndrome and challenging him to fight on every shift. It's because operating at one-third speed and gliding, he packs more wallop than most anyone else at full speed. He unnerves them, probably with good reason. I just want him to learn how to line someone up in open ice, like Trouba, because he's exponentially more likely to get called for penalties along the walls.
Looking back at the replay, first contact on TVR was Rempe's hip to the middle of his chest. Think about that for a second.

They definitely have a bunch to clean up, especially the penalties, they’re capable of it though. Aside from the penalties (warranted & unwarranted) their first period was one of their best I’ve seen them play in awhile.Agreed. Never said it's beyond them or that they can't rise to the competition. But it will be a higher level.

Not really a concern. The Ilses aren't preparing the Canes for the Rangers.
But aside from that, the players don't operate that way. They play the game in front of them and when the series is over the coaches will prepare them for the next team.
I'd be worried if GG were here.
There have been periods of sloppiness for which a better team would have made them pay.

Trust and believe the Caps will throw absolutely everything at us the next game. They have nothing to lose.
Will be interesting to see. They should be pissed about TVR. I don't think they believe they can win the series. They might want to take a pound of flesh, but they might just go away.

I’m really liking the way this team stands up for each other Rempe aside Cooley Schneider Miller Truva nobody’s taking anything
Man, Rempe just eliminated TVR. Dude would have done better in a bad car accident.

I don't think the Caps are preparing them well for the Canes. It is going to be orders of magnitude more difficult. But hey, they'll ramp up when they have to.

Gus gets a lot of those hacking penalties.

2:00 m for for being a beast. Rempe is going to get bodychecks outlawed. No prob. Caps probably shitting a brick that they have another PP.

Fucking Goody! That'll quiet this place down.

You can (although there's really no merit to doing so) as the difference is Vegas "injured" players were ready to go for Game 82 but were left on LTIR for obvious reasons. Chytil wasn't and still isn't.
Do we actually know that Chytil wasn't ready to go? It was a complete surprise that he was even in the realm of returning. I don't think we have much real info about how and when he got to this point - except that he's ready now if the team needs him.

I live in Va. My daughter said game 4 ticket prices are plummeting and she was able to get seats lower bowl behind the net 15 rows up very reasonably.
I've been debating whether to buy before or after Game 3. If it's 3-0, they'll be giving them away. I may pay more if it's 2-1.

I think Vegas may ultimately be tougher for NYR than Dallas. Just a little heavier and meaner with plenty of firepower. DAL losing in the 1st round would send the analytics orthodoxy into a little bit of a crisis, and that can't be all bad. The swooning over them this season has been annoying.

Oettinger had another average night. He simply has to be better and steal one for Dallas to get back into this series.
He had a .920 SV% and managed to come up with the 3rd star on NHL.com. Didn't see the game but must have done something right.

Dallas needs to win this series just for the fact that I don't want to hear circumvention complaining for the next month and a half.
Once Chytil gets into a couple games, everyone will shut up.

Wasn't the prettiest game, but a crucial win. Brooksie put them on notice that they had to win Game 2 and they did. They're very much in control going on the road. While it wasn't the perfect game the last one was, the team is still on track.

Caps team is saying that this gives them momentum going home. Lol.

2023-24 ECQF #4: Rangers @ Washington Capitals — Break Out the Brooms; It's Cleaning Time!

About 7 utterly huge men in Ranger jerseys just populated the row in front of me. I can pretty much do anything I want.
They have a banner and a huge stuffed loaf of bread. They could def work their way on camera.
